The Canadian forest products industry provides a unique opportunity for data collection through case studies as it is an industry built on a triple bottom line, which is managed for sustainable progress. By confronting the new framework to 31 professionals, we highlight the role and challenges faced by each helix. Several factors such as culture, time horizon management and the adaption of theory to practice appear to be determinant to improve technology transfer. We see in our work an important contribution to the generalization of knowledge and technology transfer processes in a quadruple helix environment.

One of the most recent mobile technology is NFC and projections show a huge development in the next years. Thus, there is a need for more understanding about the key success factors for both academics and professionals. The current research looks at the main adoption factors of NFC in France and uses a TAM-extended approach. Based on a PLS-SEM analysis of 320 smartphone users, results show that on the one hand, trust, social influence and technology availability influence positively perceived usefulness. On the other hand, security issues influence perceived ease of use. The model explains more than 30% of the variance of adoption of NFC technology, showing a strong support for the extended TAM model proposed.

From an IS research perspective, one important issue in this regard is the strategic role played by the firm's IT capabilities in responding to greater environmental uncertainty and correspondingly greater information requirements, and in enabling the firm's internationalization performance. Given that such a major aspect of the influence of IT on the performance of SMEs has so far been ignored, the following research question is posed: To what extent does the match between the IT capabilities and information requirements of SMEs contribute to their internationalization performance? Our research model and hypotheses are based on Tushman and Nadler's information processing model. In revisiting this model, the aim was to show its continued relevancy and extend its domain of applicability. In order to answer the research question, we conduct a survey-based empirical study of 174 Canadian SMEs that have internationalized their activities in one form or another. Our results show that a better match between IT capabilities and information requirements does indeed exert a positive influence on internationalization performance. We also find that the SMEs' IT capabilities are influenced externally by the environmental uncertainty and internally by their internationalization mode.

However, the role of nostalgia as well as the consumers' nostalgic inclination in the development of new products has not been investigated yet, either for existing products or new ones. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to underline and understand the collaborative process of value co-creation for both actors (companies and consumers) in the development of nostalgic new products. Design/methodology/approach ‐ A double methodology was used through a netnographic study (which is inspired by ethnography) and semi-directed interviews. Concerning the netnographic approach, the data collection were conducted on both general and specialized social networks, web sites and forums. The semi-directed interviews were conducted among 12 individuals. The verbatim were analyzed through a content thematic analysis. The use of both methodologies helped to underline recurrent and complementary findings. Findings ‐ The analysis highlights four main results: first, the main criteria for selection and purchase of products and services; second, the perception and dimensions of nostalgia; third, the link between nostalgia and consumption; and finally, the relationship between nostalgic experiences and the co-creation process. Originality/value ‐ This research is the first to study the value of the co-creation process for the development of nostalgic new products.

This exploratory study wishes to fill the gap in the literature about entrepreneurship and digital and presents a conceptual model of digital entrepreneurship intention. Based on 5 semi-structured interviews of Emirati digital entrepreneurs, results show that the digital landscape is used extensively by these entrepreneurs in many of their business processes, however none were devoted to full time entrepreneurship or operated with a business license which impedes expansion and sustainability.

This exploratory study wishes to fill the gap in the literature about entrepreneurship and digital and presents a conceptual model of digital entrepreneurship intention. Based on 10 semistructured interviews of both French and Emirati digital entrepreneurs, results show that agility, entrepreneurial alertness and entrepreneurial characteristics influence intention. Managerial and academic contributions are proposed. Professionals can identify items that will help them launching their firm when academics will find new areas of research regarding digital entrepreneurship.
