Taking into consideration the rising level of environmental awareness, both poets have attempted to produce poetry that integrates man with nature. The poetry, particularly nature poetry, of these poets is explored in order to undertake study from an individual viewpoint, but there has yet to be a major examination into a comparative technique by adopting an ecocritical approach. In this study, the researchers attempt to uncover the nature of poetry disguised inside the chosen poems of the legendary poets by examining the creative and aesthetic characteristics of their works. This study examines the interaction between man and the environment via the lens of an ecocritical approach in a comparative manner. In this research, one poem by Kaiser ...

This study examines the interaction between man and the environment via the lens of an ecocritical approach in a comparative manner. In this research, one poem by Kaiser Haq, "Poor Man Eating," and one poem by Derek Walcott, "Map of the New World," are examined from the perspective of environmental awareness. By concentrating on these poems and using an ecocritical perspective, this study attempts to demonstrate how the poet is sensitive to nature and how people are concerned about the environment.

The paper endeavors to inaugurate Mata Hari as an independent woman who passes through complications throughout her life in the novel. The inquiry focuses on different phases of Mata Hari's oppressions-sexual assault, domestic violence, powerlessness, harassment and her victimization in the wartime. The novel portrays the story of the encounter of the historical figure Mata Hari who became famous as glamorous dancer during the First World War. This lady was accused of being double espionage of Germany and France and finally found guilty by the judicial system of France and sentenced to death at fire squad shoot. However, it is a qualitative research where Paulo Cohelo's The Spy is used as a primary source. Besides, the library resources along with the web materials have been used as the secondary source. The research paper investigates the life of Mata Hari to establish her as a symbol of independent woman from the feminist perspective in the novel.

This poem was written in a particular political situation which striked the people of the age. In this poem the relationship between father and son attracted our attention. Achitophel here acted as a catalyst to instigate the rebellion of son against the father. Actually this paper was going to explore the role of Achitophel, the Earl of Shaftesbury, as a cunning politician who represents the politicians of the age of Restoration. A. B. Chambers opines, "the story of Absalom and Achitophel found seventeenth-century political application with sufficient frequency to establish a tradition in which Achitophel was a type for the rebellious and wily politician" (592). His cunningness and unscrupulousness regarding the anti-royal movement against King David on the one hand evoked the rebelliousness of some other rebels towards the King and on the other hand prepared Absalom's state of mind to revolt against his God like father. However, in this poem we observed a conflict between Whig and Tory, Catholicism and Protestantism, son and father, royal power and Shaftesbury, Absalom and Achitophel. It reminded us the great theory of Hobbes where everybody is against everybody means war against all. Along with Dryden's own view of politics, one of the most prominent political theorists of his time had been consulted to expose its influence on the political history of the Restoration England.

In the last couple of years, Bangladesh has already been faced different terrorist attacks for which the peace and harmony of the society become disrupted. Investigation after the occurrence of terrorist activities revealed that mostly students are being engaged with such kind of activities in Bangladesh. Among them mostly university students are being engaged with it. In a situation, knowing students view regarding terrorism has become a sociological issue for the country. This study is conducted among the students of HSTU. Data has been collected through surveying 90 students from different departments along with interviewing 20 students who are being selected purposively. Students have been asked several questions regarding the issues of terrorism. Students strongly opposed the modern version of religious terrorism in the name of religious goal attainment. They treated it as a threat to their student life as well as to the society and state. They suggested that building strong connection between parents and children, creating social and societal awareness, spreading religion-based education system, constructing strong constitutional provision against terrorist activities and developing the sense of multiculturalism etc. would contribute in combating such kind of terrorist activities.
