This study identifies the levels of attention and visual perception among male and female fencers and the relationship between attention and visual perception dimensions and the sport performance in fencing. The researcher employed a descriptive method in a sample of 16 fencers during the 2010/2011 season. The sample was comprised of eight males and eight females who participated in the 11-year stage of the Cairo Championships. The Test of Attentional and Interpersonal Style, which was designed by Nideffer and translated by Allawi (1998) was applied. The test consisted of 59 statements that measured seven dimensions. The Test of Visual Perception Skills designed by Alsmadune (2005), which includes seven dimensions was also used. Among females, a positive and statistically significant correlation between the achievement level and Visual Discrimination, Visual...

The research used the experimental method which used pre-post measurements for one experimental group composed of 18 fencers registered in the Egyptian Fencing Federation. Who were comprised of ten males and eight females in the 11-13 years stage at Nasr City Sporting Club. The researcher used a Sport Achievement Motivation List designed by "Joe Willis" (1982) and localized by "Allawi, M.," consisting of 20 sentences and include two dimensions, the motive to achieve success and motive to avoid failure. The most important results was the existence of a significant statistics differences between pre-tests and post-tests in performance level and motive to achieve success for the post-test of male and female fencer. There are no significant statistic differences between pre and post tests in the dimension of motive to avoid failure for male and female fencer. The question is there an ACE genotype-specific for fencing players? What is the income of gene expression after a training bout? What are the physiological properties of fencing players? the researchers have used the descriptive method for one group of male fencing players(n=8) age(26.4 ± 2.6y), weight(67.4 ± 7kg) height(177.8 ± 4.6 cm) Blood samples(5 ml) were taken from the candidates in EDTA tubes, PCR was used to determine DNA amplification using three primers, ACEDD genotype predominates among the fencing players and the physiological parameters of fencing players were pulse rate(64.2 ± 5.6 counts/sec.) vital capacity(4511.2 ± 201 ml/kg) B/P(119.2 ± 7.8 / 78.6 ± 4.6 mm/Hg). After warming up for 10 m., they performed a training bout of high intensity of footwork(30 m ), assault exercises, and the results were scored. After DNA was isolated by centrifuge total RNA was isolated from each sample and was reversed transcribed and amplified with PCR system and expression level in optical density 0. D 260. m RNA was different in the eight participants ranging from(1-8) players a percentage of expression 22.1 %, 12.1 % 8.8 %, 10.8 % .7.9%, 10.5 %, 9.02%, 6.72% respectively from player 1 to player 8, these results agreed with the scores indicating the efficiency of each player. The genetic results indicated a predominance of fast glycolytic muscle fibers, this was also reported by Abdel Kafi (2006), Rogozkin et al(2005). The results suggest that the training bout may affect each player differently through the different percentage of m RNA expression, thus changes in the gene expression may be related to physical response and physical performance. In conclusion, ACE gene expression could be used to express the physical performance of players and ranking the efficiency of each. It is recommended to know the genotype in the beginners to indicate their potential abilities.

There are no significant statistic differences between pre and post tests in the dimension of motive to avoid failure for male and female fencer. There are no significant statistics differences in the post-test between male and female fencer in all variables of the study.

This research aimed to identify the level of attention and the level of visual perception for the male and female fencers as well as the relationship between the dimensions of the attention and visual perception and level of achievement of the male and female fencers, the differences between male and female in the level of attention and visual perception. The researcher used the descriptive method on a sample of (16) registered fencers in the Egyptian Federation of fencing season (2010/2011), (8) males and (8) females who were participating in Cairo Championship 11 years Stage. The researcher used the Test of Attentional and Interperonal Style (TAIS), designed by Robert Nideffer (1976) and Localized by Mohammad Hassan Allawi (1998) , the test consisted of (59) statements directed to measure seven dimensions. The researcher used Test of Visual Perception Skills designed by Elsaied Ibrahim Alsmadune (2005) and it includes (7) dimensions. The most important results of this study: There is a positive significant statistic correlation between the level of performance, Visual Discrimination (VD), Visual Spatial-Relationships (VSR), Visual Sequential memory (VSM), Narrow Attentional Focus (NAR) and Information Processing (INFP) among a sample of females. There is a significant positive statistic correlation between the level of performance and Visual Discrimination (VD), Visual Sequential memory (VSM), Broad External Attentional Focus (BET) & Information Processing (INFP) among the sample of males. There is a significant positive statistic correlation between the level of performance and Visual Discrimination (VD), Visual Sequential memory (VSM), Broad External Attentional Focus (BET), Narrow Attentional Focus (NAR) & Information Processing (INFP) for all. There are significant statistic differences between males and females in the Visual Discrimination and the Visual Form-Constancy for females.
