Tommaso Indelli è Assegnista di Ricerca in Storia Medievale presso la Facoltà di Scienze della Formazione dell’Università degli Studi di Salerno. Si occupa di storia del Mezzogiorno medievale longobardo e normanno (VI-XII sec.). Di formazione storico-giuridica, specializzatosi a Pavia con un dottorato sulla cultura giuridica della Tarda Antichità e dell’Europa medievale, si occupa di ricerca e problematiche inerenti le strutture e le forme di organizzazione del potere pubblico e statale. Tra le sue monografie: Bellum Piraticum e pirateria. Aspetti giuridico-politici del fenomeno piratico dall’età Romana al XVIII secolo; La conquista normanna del Meridione d’Italia. Dall’arrivo dei primi conquistatori alla fondazione del Regno; La condizione del servo nell’Occidente medievale. Aspetti giuridici e sociali (V-XV sec.); Strutture socio-politiche dell’Italia Meridionale nel XII secolo, da Ruggero II a Guglielmo II (1105-1189), I Bizantini nel Mezzogiorno d’Italia (VI- XI sec.) Collabora con alcune riviste di settore, quali “Medioevo”, “Rassegna Storica Salernitana”, “Salternum. Rivista di informazione storica, culturale e archeologica”, “Rivista di Storia della Chiesa in Italia”.
