Curcumin is classified as a class II BCS (Biopharmaceutics Classification System) because curcumin has low water solubility but has a high permeability. One of the following ways improve this low solubility of curcumin by making it into solid dispersion. This study aims to examine the use of PEG carriers in their molecular weight variations, ie 4000, 6000, and 8000 against the dissolution profile of curcumin in a solid dispersion of PEG-turmeric extract. The solid dispersion in this study was made by solvent method. Curcumin and PEG were mixed in an appropriate solvent ie 96% ethanol, then the solvent was evaporated by solvent evaporation method until the dry mass was obtained which was then formed into a powder. In this study, the parameters measured were solubility and dissolution. The sample analysis was performed with UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Solubility and dissolution test results showed that the physical mixture and solid dispersion made with PEG 6000 carriers had the highest...
