While Cinnamomum verum is whiles considered tae be "true cannel", maist cannel in internaitional commerce is derived frae relatit species, which are an aa referred tae as "cassia" tae distinguish them frae "true cannel".[1][2]
Cannel is the name for aiblins a dozen species o trees an the commercial spice products that some o them produce. Aw are members o the genus Cinnamomum in the faimily Lauraceae. Anly a few o them are grown commercially for spice.
