Notes
[eedit | eedit soorce]- ↑ Domnall mac Donnchada is the Mediaeval form
- ↑ Donald's elder brither Malcolm III (Máel Coluim mac Donnchada) is presumed tae hae been atween twa an ten years o age in 1040; Duncan, p. 42. Walter Bower's Scotichronicon says that Donald passed his exile during the reign o Macbeth (Mac Bethad mac Findlaích) in the Hebrides, but this is unlikly gien his age; McDonald, p. 104.
