This holistic teaching method creates new ways of engaging students to achieve maximum performance in class and to leverage their knowledge. Authors discuss how this approach helps teachers to understand students’ intelligence and have a greater appreciation of their strengths, how it helps students to learn English for Specific Purposes in authentic learning situations and increase exam achievements. Reflecting on the five stages of Multiple Intelligences Teaching Approach, the authors state that this approach provides numerous opportunities for students to increase their motivation and optimal brain potential to develop the eight intelligences or the eight ways to learning a foreign language, in this case English.

After last year’s publication “Building Cultural Bridges in Education” (by Cambridge Scholars Publishing), this year’s collection represents a further step in the same direction. This volume again brings together scholars from around the world in their shared interest to discuss current trends and issues in higher education.

Consequently, European health care systems and providers will need to reflect on and respond to patients’ varied perspectives, values, beliefs, and behaviors about health and wellbeing. The significance of communication in health care is, therefore, of great importance because effective health care delivery relies on clear and effective communication which is in turn an essential element in every form of medicine and health care between all of the individuals who are involved: patients, physicians, and other health care professionals. If, in any way, communication between health care providers and patients is not clear, the entire medical treatment process can be problematic and clear communication hindered when the participants come from different cultures. For this reason, intercultural communicative competence in health care has emerged in part to address the factors that may contribute to racial/ethnic disparities in health care.

It addresses CLIL issues both at a national, and international level, and deals with concerns, which are relevant to educational policy makers, researchers, teachers, material developers.
