Approche de recherche développée en Atelier 2012 réalisé en Post-Graduation magistrale "Urbanisme et Développement Durable"

The biotope per area factor (BAF) is one of these tools. Its purpose is to promote the presence of vegetation by using specific density factors aiming to guarantee a minimum amount of vegetation at the parcel scale. We will focus on this tool in order to adapt it to urban scale and see how can be the effective result concerning the promotion of green areas. The research approach involved the case studies of the different experiences of the BAF around the world to understand its system and application details in view to adapt it to our context and urban scale and use it in Algeria. Our case study is one of Algiers communes (BabEzzouar). It shows the symptoms of a mineral configuration which is the result of the combination of fast development and high density projects not respecting the sustainable urban planning.
