Elizabeth Nelson Adams

Elizabeth Nelson Adams (January 22, 1941 – March 2, 2020) was an American artist, poet, writer, Arts Commissioner, and movie casting director. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina. From 1995 to 2000, Adams was on the South Carolina Arts Commission.[1][2][3] She was on the Board of Directors of The South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts & Humanities.

Adams is the author of Gathering the Rain (1990), and Five Malawian Writers: An Essay in Personal Exploration (1987).[4][5]

Adams died in Columbia, South Carolina on March 2, 2020 at the age of 79.[6]
