Template:Commons

Purpose

This template adds a link to a Wikimedia Commons page or category with images.

Usage

There are three ways to use this template:

• {{Commons}}

The link in the template will direct to a page on Commons with the name of the article where the template is used

• {{Commons|name}}

The link in the template will direct to and show the given name

• {{Commons|name|name2}}

The link in the template will direct to the first given name, but name2 will appear in the text of the template. May be used to add italics to scientific names of genera and species, for example.
