My dissertation historicizes Walter Benjamin's notes from his self-experiments with psychedelic drugs together with psychiatrists in the Weimar Republic 1919-1933, analyzing how intoxication was written down through references to a network of already written text in the intersection of scientific psychology, critique of civilisation and poetry.
