Zircon sand was obtained from Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. Zircon sand contain ilmenite compound that it can be processed to extract TiO2. To extract TiO2 can be used Becher Process which is combined Pirometallurgy and Hydrometallurgy. Crystal Ilmenite separated from another purities through smelting process above 1200 o C for 6 hours. Ilmenite is reduced through aeration process with oxygen for 6 hours to enable the rust which is signed brownish colour, it is formed Fe2O3. The leaching residue was using H2SO4 solution with concentration variation of 6M, 8M, 10M, and 12M. Titanium bonded SO4 - which is formed TiSO4. Result powder of leaching was calcined by using arc furnace at 900 o C with the result that SO4 evaporated from the powder and formed TiO2 powder. Bioplastik dapat dibuat dengan bahan dasar kitosan dengan plasticizer sorbitol dan penambahan pati biji buah alpukat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pengaruh penambahan pati biji buah alpukat terjadap sifat mekanik dan biodegradibilitas bioplastik yang diukur berdasarkan susut bobotnya pada media tanah dan air sungai. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam empat tahap, yaitu pembuatan pati biji buah alpukat, pembuatan bioplastik, pengujian sifat mekanik dan karakteristik bioplastik, serta pengujian biodegradasi bioplastik pada media tanah dan air sungai. Variasi penambahan pati biji buah alpukat yang digunakan adalah 0; 0,1; 0,3; 0,5; 0,7; dan 1,4 gram. Pengujian sifat mekanik bioplastik meliputi uji ketebalan, kuat tarik, elongasi, dan modulus Young. Pengujian gugus fungsi bioplastik dilakukan menggunakan FTIR. Bioplastics can be made with chitosan as a base material with a sorbitol plasticizer and avocado-based seed starch. This study tries to discuss the comparison of avocado seeds to bioplastic biodegradability required based on weight loss in soil media. This research was carried out in empathic, namely making avocado starch, making bioplastics, analyzing bioplastic functional groups, and testing biodegradation of bioplastics in soil media. Variations used are avocado seeds used are 0; 0.1; 0.3; 0.5; 0.7; and 1.4 grams. Bioplastic functional group analysis was performed using FTIR. Bioplastic biodegradability in soil media. Bioplastics are 76% degraded within 12 days in the soil. This shows that bioplastics can be biodegradable.
