Export a Live Photo as an animated GIF in Photos on Mac
You can use a Live Photo to create an animated GIF for use on websites and in text messages.
Go to the Photos app on your Mac.
Double-click a Live Photo thumbnail, then click Edit in the toolbar.
Click Live at the bottom right of the video, then choose Loop from the pop-up menu.
Click Done.
Choose File > Export > Export GIF.
If that option isn’t available, you can choose Export Unmodified Original to export it as a short video.
Choose a location to export to, then click Export.
