Ian Masters
Dr Ian Masters is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Swansea University. He founded the Marine Energy Research Group in 2001 and is author of many academic papers and patents. Dr Masters research areas include: Tidal current turbines, tidal range technology, wave energy and multiple use of space. In particular, he specializes in the development of computational models to improve the performance of tidal turbines. He also has an interest in the link between design and cost of energy in order to develop cost effective ocean energy devices.
