Five internal context factors were chosen based on the change readiness framework suggested by previous researchers. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of internal context factors on individual readiness to change among the non-academic staff. The current study has three objectives. The second objective is to investigate the effect of each internal context factor on individual readiness to change (IRTC) among the non-academic staff at University of Malaya. The third objective of the study is to identify which variable in the model of internal context factors can be best predictor for the individual readiness to change. In this quantitative research, the descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used for analyzing the data. The data collected was statistically analysed by using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23. The population of the research was 1140 employees. A total of 330 (82.5) respondents returned the questionnaires. Results: The study found that the internal context factors (measured as a single dimension) significantly and positively affect the individual readiness to change (IRTC). The results indicate in positive conditions and supportive environment, the level of the individual readiness to change (IRTC) increases. The perceived supervisor support showed significant positive effect on the individual readiness to change (IRTC). The findings of this study indicate the best predictor for the individual readiness to change (IRTC) is perceived supervisor support (PSS). To know what factors may affect the individual readiness to change among the employees is important for the organizations. The result of the current research is helpful for the leaders of the University of Malaya to find out the importance role of their supervisory in increasing the level of individual readiness to change among the employees. As the current research only focused on the internal context factors and only some of these inertial variables were selected to study, there are other factors that may affect the individual readiness to change among the University employees which can be concerned by the future researchers.
Motivation in organizations is important and is needed for improving the performance of employees... more Motivation in organizations is important and is needed for improving the performance of employees in an affirmative manner. The current study aims to determine the relationship between motivation and job performance, and also to identify the most dominant motivational factor that influences employees’ job performance. The current study has three objectives. The first objective is to determine the level of motivation and job performance among the respondents. The second objective is to determine the relationship between motivational factors and job performance. The third objective of the study is to identify the most dominant motivational factor that influences employees’ performance. In the current research, the researcher has tried to explain the impact of motivation on job performance, through conducting the study in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The population of this study was non-academic staff grade N17 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The research instrument was a structured questionnaire. Total samples of 150 non-academic employees were chosen through a multi stage sampling. A Total of 108 questionnaires gathered and the analysis was done for 103 questionnaires. The current study applied a descriptive and co-relational research design in an effort to explore the statistical relationship between the identified variables. The mean score, correlation and multiple regression analyses were conducted through applying SPSS 22.0.The analysis showed that the most significant motivational factor for job performance was responsibility, while fringe benefits was the second significant factor. Human capital management can use diverse plans or factors to simulate workers, but human capital management should remember that different motivational factors or plans would have different motivational influences on different employees. Also managers should consider that the diverse incentive plans may influence employees in different ways, at different positions in time, because of the continual changes in situations, needs and individual purposes. To obtain good results from a motivational plan, the human capital management has to comprehend the differences of employees’ values, needs, tasks, and satisfaction’s levels in terms of increasing job performance and productivity.

The abbreviated form of (DLOQ) Dimensions of the Learning Organization Questionnaire as modified by Yang et al. (1998) was used as the instrument to collect data. 21 variables were applied to assess the perceptions of learning organization culture among the non-academic employees of top Malaysian Public Universities (UM, USM, UPM, UTM and UKM). The population of the research was 2472. A total of 227 (68.6%) respondents returned the questionnaires. Results: The study found that the non-academic employees perceived learning culture existing at individual, team and organizational levels. The results of the comparisons on perceptions towards learning organization practices showed that the more observed prominent differences with regard to the perceptions of collaboration in team learning, and strategic leadership practices based on the levels of working years in the current job and there are no significant differences on the perceptions on learning practices based on the different levels of age. Conclusion: Learning culture provides opportunities to obtain the right knowledge at the right time and in the right location for being competitive in the globalized educational environment. The heads and the deans of the departments should encourage their employees to pass on newly obtained knowledge freely in order to generate a corporate climate of continuous learning in their departments. As knowledge has become the key factor for providing efficient services and achieving higher productivity, the culture of knowledge sharing at the workplace environment essentially enhance team and organizational learning, and eventually leads to desirable organizational success.
