While cloud storage offers numerous advantages, it also introduces substantial risks, including the potential loss or unauthorized modification of data by service providers. The extensive data gathered in the cloud, originating from various datasets and storage devices necessitates a thorough analysis of storage performance. Each data instance is defined by specific features, while devices are characterized by their hardware or software components. General restrictions for data allocation and device capacity are also considered. The computation of structural constraints is based on the interactions between cloud-based devices and data instances. In order to address these issues, we introduce a hybrid artificial intelligence approach that is lightweight and ideal for constraint optimization. It focuses on auditable secure cloud storage with dynamic data. Our approach begins with the development of the enhanced electric fish optimization (EEFO) algorithm for constraints optimization to ensure the integrity of data stored in the cloud. To accommodate dynamic data operations, including block modification, insertion, and deletion, we employ the triple tree-seed algorithm (TTSA) to record the location of each data operation within the system. The proposed model's performance is validated, and results are systematically analyzed, compared against existing approaches, demonstrating its effectiveness in appropriately managing cloud data.

However, ensuring the reliability and fault tolerance of SMS remains a challenge. This paper proposes an innovative approach that combines Blockchain technology with Machine Learning (ML) models to evaluate faults in SMS. By leveraging the immutability and transparency of the blockchain and the predictive capabilities of ML, this approach enhances fault detection, facilitates traceability, and ultimately contributes to the resilience of smart manufacturing. The industrial sector's increase in data creation has made monitoring systems a crucial idea for management and decision-making. The Internet of Things (IoT), which is sensor-based and one of the most advanced and potent technologies today, can process appropriate ways to monitor the manufacturing process. The research's suggested method combines IoT, machine learning (ML), and monitoring of the industrial system. Temperature, humidity, gyroscope, and accelerometer IoT sensors are used to gather environmental data. Sensor data is produced in unstructured, enormous, and real-time data forms. Many big data approaches are used to process the data further. This system's hybrid prediction model employs the Random Forest classification approach to weed out outliers in the sensor data and aid in defect identification throughout the production process. The suggested approach was examined for South Korean vehicle production. This system uses a strategy to protect and strengthen data trust in order to prevent genuine data changes with fictitious data and system interactions. The efficacy of the suggested methodology in comparison to other methods is provided in the results section. Furthermore, compared to other inputs, the hybrid prediction model offers a respectable fault prediction. The suggested technique is anticipated to improve decision-making and decrease errors during the production process.

Design of Experiments (DOE) was used, and the findings showed that the preheating temperature is more significant to manage than the preheating duration, and that increasing the temperature led to a high tensile strength. This conclusion was reached as a result of the experiments. The profile that was extruded for three hours at 550 degrees Celsius had reached the ideal condition for achieving the highest possible tensile strength. The heat treatment was carried out with the solution temperature set at 450 degrees Celsius for two hours, and the ageing procedure was carried out at 195 degrees Celsius for three hours. The extruded specimen underwent heat treatment, which resulted in a considerable increase in its tensile strength.

Wa... more Groundwater is an essential source of drinking and irrigation in rural areas across the globe. Water pollution is among the leading problem in causes of health-related disorders all over the world. Physico-chemical analysis of water gives an insight into the quality of water. Various physical and chemical parameters were examined to calculate the water quality index (W.Q.I.) in villages of the Kalanaur block of Rohtak district (Haryana), India. The suitability of groundwater for irrigation purposes was determined by calculation of Sodium Adsorption Ratio (S.A.R.), Sodium Percent (Na %), Residual Sodium Carbonate (R.S.C.) and Permeability Index (P.I.), U.S. salinity plot, Wilcox diagram, etc. Most water samples were of high W.Q.I., indicating poor water quality. A minimum value of W.Q.I. was 58.38 for S17 and the maximum was 454.41 for S12. Most of the parameters analyzed suggested that water was polluted due to very high concentrations of T.D.S., chloride, magnesium and bicarbonate ions. S.A.R., Na %, R.S.C. and P.I. values were in the excellent to good range. Piper trilinear plot indicated that most of the water samples belonged to mixed Ca-Mg-Cl and Ca-HCO-3 type of water facies. Gibbs plot suggested a significant interaction between water and rocks in the area. Almost 50% of the water samples were suitable for irrigation.

In this disease the collection of granulomas/small nodules occurs granulomas (collection of immune cells) i.e. phagocytes when they cluster these phagocytes are unable to kill any pathogen.CGD patients, with a phagocyte NADPH oxidase that is not properly functioning, suffer from recurrent, life-threatening infections with certain bacteria, fungi, and yeasts. Defects occurs in one of the five subunits of NADPH Oxidase. It is caused by mutations in genes encoding protein subunits of the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase complex. CGD is characterized by a defective intracellular killing of phagocytosed organisms due to a defective oxidative burst in the neutrophils and macrophages. Includes following proteins gp91phox(CYBB gene),p22phox (CYBA gene), p47phox (NCF1), p67phox (NCF2), p40phox(NCF4). So now in present studies we have used different Insilicotools and techniques which includes retrieval of Neutrophil cytosol factor 4 sequence from UniProt database and physiochemical parameters analysed by using Protparam tool. In that leucine had maximum amino acid composition. The structure of protein has very important role in its function. The secondary structure was predicted by using SOPMA tool which indicated that the percentage of Random coils was higher than the percentage of alpha helix and extended strand. Then the 3D structure of Neutrophil cytosol factor 4 was predicted by using SWISS MODEL server and the model was validated by using PROCHECK analysis after validation of the model, the validation score was 93.6%.

Density Functional Theory (DFT) computations have been used to look into the electrical and optic... more Density Functional Theory (DFT) computations have been used to look into the electrical and optical characteristics of 3D Germanene sheets doped with transition metals (TM). Recent years have seen a major increase in interest in germanene, a two-dimensional allotrope of germanium, due to its potential use in electrical and optoelectronic devices. The effect of doping Germanene with several 3d TMs, such as titanium (Ti), vanadium (V), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), and copper (Cu), on its structural, electrical, and optical properties is examined in this paper. In order to comprehend the structural stability and geometry of the systems, we first tune the lattice parameters and atomic locations of the doped Germanene sheets. To further evaluate the alteration of electronic characteristics brought on by TM doping, we compute the electronic band structures, density of states, and charge density distributions. Our findings point to major changes in the electronic band structures that have resulted in the creation of novel electronic states within the band gap and point to possible semiconductor device applications. In addition, we investigate the complicated dielectric function, refractive index, and absorption spectra of TM-doped Germanene. When compared to pure Germanene, the optical properties show significant changes. This suggests that the material's optical response can be tuned, which is important for optoelectronic devices like photodetectors and modulators.

The various applied electric fields (0.00 – 0.26 VÅ-1) altered the geometrical parameters and the corresponding electrostatic and transport properties of the molecule has been analyzed. The variations in the atomic charges (MPA, NPA) of the molecule for the various applied electric fields have been compared. The HOMO-LUMO gap of the molecule for zero bias is 1.904 eV, as the field increases this gap decreases to 0.272 eV. The ESP shows the potential difference between charges accumulated of the molecule for various applied electric fields. The applied electric field polarizes the molecule, in consequence of that the dipole moment of the molecule decreases from 9.65 to 8.82 Debye. The small decrease of dipole moment shows that the molecule exhibits smaller conductivity.

It is termed as a pollutant environmentally, as it could be subsequently absorbed into food chain of organisms and thereby posing a health concern to the public. Acceptable threshold of lead is also a global concern due to its potency even at lower concentration in ppm. This calls for frequent environmental assessment and consumables for a precise reference to its occurrence. This paper hence, reviews the occurrence of lead and sequential extraction method to ascertaining environmental vulnerability free of lead.

Data Mining is an eternal process which is quite useful in finding understandable patterns and relationships amongst the data. There are various classification techniques available. It is observed that all the techniques don't work well with all datasets. It is found that when the classifiers are used alone, they are not performing as good as when they are combined using ensembles. Ensemble methods are renowned techniques in order to improve the classification accuracy. Bagging and Boosting are the most common ensemble learning techniques used to improve the classification accuracy. Here, a study on the classification accuracy improvement is carried out in which an experiment is performed using boosting with different datasets from UCI repository.

The quotient of sugar content and buffering capacity (S/BC quotient) serves as an important predi... more The quotient of sugar content and buffering capacity (S/BC quotient) serves as an important predictor for the ensilability of green feed and cereal or legume grains. For this, reference values were given which base on the anthrone method for sugar analysis. This method has largely been replaced today, but the consistency of results from different methods is questionable. In this study, the sugar content of legume grains was determined by the anthrone method and compared with results from nowadays more common methods. For this, grains from lupine (Lupinus spp.; var. 'Bora', 'Borlu'), pea (Pisum sativum; var. 'Lisa', 'Phönix') and field bean (Vicia faba; var. 'Limbo') were analysed (n = 4 each) for sugar via anthrone method, a gravimetric method (GRAVI) and HPLC. Following HPLC, either glucose, fructose and sucrose (HPLC-1) or these monomers plus galactose (HPLC-2) or HPLC-2 plus oligomeric carbohydrates (raffinose, stachyose, verbascose; HPLC-3) as sum were referred to as sugar. Results were compared by one-way analysis of variance. None of the alternative methods provided results that are at least similar to the sugar content detected by the anthrone method (P > 0.05). HPLC-3 caused a clear overestimation whereas the other methods (VDLUFA, HPLC-1, HPLC-2) resulted in a remarkable underestimation compared to the anthrone method. The results from legume grains suggest that different methods of sugar analysis provide remarkably different results even though all methods are accepted and applied in routine analysis. Thus, i) sugar contents should not be interpreted without knowledge of the applied method, and ii) as long as reference values base on anthrone method, the forecast of ensilability via the S/BC quotient should only be performed when anthrone method was used to determine the sugar content. The comparison of results from different methods of sugar analysis should be extended to grasses and further more conventional material for ensiling.

The following instruments, infrared thermometer (digital type), thermocouple, tachometer, weighing balance, grain moisture meter and stop watch were used for temperature, speed, mass, moisture content and time respectively. Surface response methodology was used to study the relationship between the factors and the evaluation parameters. This was achieved by holding constant, conveyor speed, set temperature or moisture content of the maize. The results show that the set temperature, auger speed and moisture content of maize were all significantly influenced all the evaluation parameters. Increasing the auger speed and set temperature will yield a significant increase in the roasting efficiency and roasting capacity. From the study, it was observed that the optimal conditions required to achieve the optimum roasting efficiency were auger speed of 35 rpm and set temperature of 155oC. These conditions give the best roasting efficiency with coefficient of determination of R2 equals 79%.

For combating the disease, the most effective and economical measure is exploitation of host plant resistance. To date, more than 38 R genes for BB resistance have been reported. Since the chemical control is not effective, the utilization of resistant varieties carrying resistance genes have been considered to be the most effective way to control the disease .With the development of a wide range of molecular techniques, marker assisted breeding is now used to enhance traditional breeding programs to improve crops. Among various PCR based markers, SSR markers are more popular in rice because they are highly informative, mostly mono locus, co-dominant, easily analyzed and cost effective.Besides disease management, bioagents also stimulate plant growth, even if there is no disease, which results in better yield. Antagonistic potential of different bioagents against bacterial leaf blight of rice has been reported by several workers.

Various research studies conducted by scientists and researchers stated that data from the satellite like Landsat, IKONOS, SPOT, IRS, CZCS, and SeaWiFS may be applied in assessing water quality parameters including suspended matter, turbidity, phytoplankton, and dissolved organic matter. The measurement for water quality parameters can be carried out through in-situ measurement, as experimental examination may be done through on-site studies and inside laboratories. Water quality assessment is extremely needed to strengthen the result produced through analysis of remote sensing data to determine the impacts and factors that contributed to the river pollution. As a result, remote sensing data from Landsat, IKONOS, Quickbird and SPOT may be applied to determine water quality parameters such as suspended matter, phytoplankton, turbidity, dissolved organic matter, and other parameters in the Malacca River. As conclusion, remote sensing has become a tool in monitoring and solving water quality issues, serving as a basis for management activities and planning activities in terms of river water quality.

However, Malacca River pollution can be attributed to human activities such as agriculture, livestock, factories, commercial, and settlements. So, this research study has been conducted to determine the effectiveness of law enforcement of water resources in the Malacca River. The research involves a quantitative approach, which is a questionnaire divided into two parts. Part A is a demographic profile and part B concerns water pollution in the river and the effectiveness of law and regulation towards water resources in Malacca River. The sample size of 400 was decided with a sampling area of Alor Gajah and Melaka Tengah. Analyses involve chi-square (x2) analysis and correlation analysis. A majority of respondents agree that the Malacca River is dirty due to industrial and excretory waste turning the water black, smelly, and contaminated. Polluted water cause disease and poisoning aquatic animals to death, and affect plant species through nutrients loss. At worst, polluted river leads to aquatic species becoming extinct and dirty the habitat of animals. Hence, the Water Act 1920, Environmental Quality Act 1974, Sewage and Industrial Effluent 1979, Sewage Service Act 1993, and River Act could stop pollution and protect the water resources of the Malacca River.

The study describes the trend of oil and non-oil export in Nigeria, examines the impact of export earnings instability on economic growth and identifies adequate policy measures and suggestions based on the research findings, towards reducing the undesirable effects of export instability in Nigeria. Secondary data from various sources were used in the study. Augmented Dickey-Fuller technique was adopted in testing Unit root property of the series. Using the Ordinary Least Squares regression method, the study first examines the impact of export earnings instability on economic growth with the aid of aggregated and disaggregated models. It further uses the Granger causality test to examine the direction of causality between GDP and export earnings (using the same aggregated and disaggregated models). From the result obtained in the regression of the disaggregated model, R2 is 0.954. This indicates that oil and non-oil exports actually account for 95.4% of the total variation in economic growth during the years under study. A percentage increase in oil export will cause about 4% economic growth (0.042785), which is statistically significant at all levels. A percentage increase in non-oil export will cause an economic growth of about 10.4%, at 10 per cent level of significance. Also, with a positive and significant value of the intercept, the result indicates that GDP does not only depend on oil and non-oil export, as other variables affect the GDP. The F- Statistics 316.9, which is a measure of the joint significance of the explanatory variables, is found to be statistically significant as indicated by the corresponding probability value 0.0000, and the Durbin-Watson statistics of 1.90, which is in the neighborhood of 2 indicates that there is no autocorrelation. The Granger Causality test of the disaggregated model shows that both Oil and non-oil exports actually granger causes GDP. It also show that non-oil exports granger cause Oil exports. It was found that of all export earnings in Nigeria, oil export has stronger grasp in terms of economic growth compared with the non-oil exports. It was also found that export earnings, from both oil and the non-oil sectors, affects economic growth in Nigeria, and not otherwise. Thus policies geared towards the development of the oil and non-oil sectors will have a positive effect on the economy and thereby resulting to an increase in the gross domestic product.

Consequently we study the density and viscosity of L-Alanine in aqueous and ethanol media as a function of concentration at the temperature ranges between 293 and 313 K. The apparent molar volume (φυ) of the amino acid is linearly related to its concentration in the two media. Apparent molar volume at infinite dilution (φυ) were estimated from least square fit of φυ vs molarity. Viscosity coefficients A and B were calculated from the viscosity data Jones-Dole equation. The activation parameters for viscous flow were also estimated using Eyring equation. The data are explained vis-à -vis structure making or breaking effect of L-Alanine at the temperature under consideration.

4-G mobile communications system is offering high speed data communications technology having con... more 4-G mobile communications system is offering high speed data communications technology having connectivity to all sorts of the networks including 2-G and 3-G mobile networks. Authentication of a mobile subscriber (MS) or a sub network and a main network are an important issue to check and minimize security threats or attacks. An advanced artificial intelligence based mutual authentication technique executed by fuzzy neural network with four entities is proposed. Voice frequency of the salutation or the selective words used by a subscriber like Hello, Good Morning, etc. is taken as first entity. Second entity is chosen as thumb fingerprint matching of the calling subscriber with his / her stored thumb fingerprint. Then third entity is taken as face image matching of the calling subscriber. Fourth entity is granted as probability of the salutation word from subscriber’s talking habit while initializing a call. These four entities such as probability of particular range of frequencies for the salutation word, the thumb fingerprint matching, the face image matching of the subscriber, using particular salutation or greeting word at the time of starting a call are used with most frequently, more frequently and less frequently by the calling subscriber like uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence. Now different relative grades are assigned to most frequently, more frequently and less frequently used parameters. Fuzzy operations such as intersection and union are computed taking three membership functions at a time out of four membership functions to adopt fuzzy neural network. Thereafter, the optimum or the final fuzzy operations are computed according to the assumed weightages. Lastly, the optimized fuzzy operations are defuzzified by the Composite Maxima method, and the results are tested according to the invented fuzzy neural rule. If the results are satisfactory, the subscriber or the sub network and the network (the switch or the server) are mutually authenticated in 4-G mobile communications.

The present investigation describes the evaluation of feasibility of Lignocellulose Nanofibers toward adsorptive removal of Lead from aqueous solution. Batch experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of pH, dose adsorbent, contact time, initial Lead concentration and temperature on the Lead adsorption. The results of this study showed that the highest removal efficiency was 99.8% at adsorbent dose 0.3 mg/l, pH =6, the contact time of 60 min ,lead concentration of 10 mg/l and temperature 25°C. Adsorption equilibrium studies were analyzed using Freundlich and Langmuir models. Adsorption kinetic studies have been carried out using Pseudo first order equation of lagergren, Pseudo second order. It was found that pseudo second order kinetic model; Langmuir isotherm fitted well .Thermodynamic parameters were evaluated to understand the nature of adsorption process. The thermodynamics of Lead adsorption onto the nano fiber lignocelloloce indicated that the adsorption was spontaneous, exothermic and phisical in nature. The adsorbents were characterized using FTIR , TEM and XRD analysis. The composition, surface properties and morphology were studied using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), surface area analysis, transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The FTIR analysis for surface function group of Lignicellulose Nanofiber revealed the existence of carboxyl, hydroxyl, which is responsible for the adsorption of Lead. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that the crystallinity decreased with successive treatments. The results showed that Lignocellulose Nanofibers had high ability to absorb high concentrations of lead from aqueous solutions.

This specific agreement built on and extended the growing economic relationships between the two sides. However it also caused concern for United States influence in the region. The economic relations of both sides have been talked about from various angles at many occasions and conferences worldwide but how China and ASEAN economic terms are influencing United States influence in the region in the present times have rarely been discussed. This research focuses on the growing China- ASEAN economic relationship over the past decade and a half, especially under CAFTA umbrella, observes some of the major areas of this relationship, and considers the implications for U.S. interests in the region. The vastly growing economic relations of China ASEAN did create concerns for United States initially. The observant war on terror has got United States more involved with neighbouring regions of ASEAN and China i-e Afghanistan and Iraq. But since United States is refocusing on this region with its new strategies and engagement, it is proved that it has not lost its influence in the region which it was losing especially right after the 9/11 incident. At the same time, it is proved as well that China is constantly gaining importance in the region especially after the implementation of CAFTA.

In this paper, the cloud verifies the authenticity without knowing the user’s identity before storing data. Our paper has the added feature of access control in which only validated users are able to decrypt the stored information. Here we also forbid replay attacks and supports creation, modification, and reading of information stored in the cloud. We also cover user revocation and here the authentication and access control scheme is decentralized and robust, unlike other access control schemes designed for clouds which are centralized.
Globally buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of the total world annual energy consump... more Globally buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of the total world annual energy consumption. Most of this energy is for the provision of lighting, heating, cooling and air conditioning. An increase in awareness of the environmental impact of CO2, NOx and CFCs emissions triggered a renewed interest in environmentally friendly cooling and heating technologies. Under the 1997 Montreal Protocol, governments agreed to phase out chemicals used as refrigerants that have the potential to destroy stratospheric ozone. It was therefore considered desirable to reduce energy consumption in order to decrease the rate of depletion of world energy reserves as well as the pollution to the environment. One way of reducing building energy consumption is to design buildings, which are more efficient in their use of energy for heating, lighting, cooling and ventilation. Passive measures, particularly natural or hybrid ventilation rather than air-conditioning, can dramatically reduce primary energy consumption. Therefore, promoting innovative renewable energy applications including the ground source energy may contribute to preservation of the ecosystem by reducing emissions at local and global levels. This will also contribute to the amelioration of environmental conditions by replacing conventional fuels with renewable energies that produce no air pollution or the greenhouse gases (GHGs). An approach is needed to integrate renewable energies in a way to achieve high building performance standards. However, because renewable energy sources are stochastic and geographically diffuse, their ability to match demand is determined by the adoption of one of the following two approaches: the utilisation of a capture area greater than that occupied by the community to be supplied, or the reduction of the community’s energy demands to a level commensurate with the locally available renewable resources. Ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems (also referred to as geothermal heat pump systems, earth-energy systems and GeoExchange systems) have received considerable attention in recent decades as an alternative energy source for residential and commercial space heating and cooling applications. The GSHP applications are one of three categories of geothermal energy resources as defined by ASHRAE and include high-temperature (>150°C) for electric power production, intermediate temperature (<150°C) for direct-use applications and GSHP applications (generally (<32°C). The GSHP applications are distinguished from the others by the fact that they operate at relatively low temperatures

The gemstones price fluctuates heavily and there are no universally accepted grading systems for the gemstones except diamond. Due to this reason the gemstones are imitated and are sold in the markets by the traders to gain the large monetary profits. Thus there are more chances of fake and unauthentic jewellery being encountered and circulated among people. Sometimes, litigation also involves jewellery that has been lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed whose identification becomes important nm. Thus forensic examination of gemstones becomes very difficult if proper procedures are not outlaid. Therefore keeping in mind the significance of gemstone identification here are certain methodologies discussed to test the authenticity of the gemstones and to find out whether the gemstones are authentic or not.

The study attempted to identify the major challenges and opportunities for mobile banking development in Ethiopia. An exploratory research design is utilized as the area of the study is fresh and requires a better understanding of the situation. The study reveals that hitherto there are no operational challenges that hinder the flourish of m-banking development in Ethiopia. However, lack of timely approval of new products by regulatory body, lack of interoperability system and lack of aggregators between service provider and retail agents were the major problems observed in the study. High PCI and mobile phone penetration rate were found out to be the most important potential for the development of mobile banking in Ethiopia.

Their presence may cause health hazards. Considering its unhygienic aspects in view, the present study was undertaken to judge the occurrence of toxin producing microorganism. A good number of milk, curd, ice-cream and khoa samples supplied to Tura town (Head quarter of District West Garo Hills, Meghalaya) were assessed for their total bacterial, clostridial and staphylococal counts. Out of total clostridia and total coagulase positive staphylococcus count about twenty percent were identified as clostridium botulinam and ninety percent as staphylococcus aureus respectively. These isolates, pure and identified cultures of these organisms were incubated in litmus milk for one week for production of toxins. Heat stability of toxins were determined by heating the inoculates at 75, 85, and 100.c for five minutes. Toxicity of toxins produced by these microorganisms was tested by intra peritoneal injection and orally feeding to mice and seen that 1.5 c.c intra peritoneal injection was lethal dose. Heating of inoculates at 85.c for five minutes has partially inactivated botulinam toxin, whereas it has not effected staphylococcus enterotoxin. Heating at 100.c for five minutes has completely inactivated botulinam and partially inactivated staphylococcal enterotoxin. It can be concluded from the experimental results that the bacteriological quality of milk and milk products supplied to Tura town is very poor.

Many dairy herds incur a substantial cut in the economy due to the poor conception rate and proper herd replacement. Proper oestrus detection coupled with efficient insemination technique using quality semen in a healthy uterine environment critically resulted in high rate of reproduction in bovines (Yildiz, 2005). However, first service conception rate to Artificial Insemination (AI) in cows had fallen away from approximately 65 to 40 per cent or lower (Weigel, 2006). Although, the cause has not yet been fully described, the fertility of dairy cows is declining worldwide (Thatcher et al., 2006). Development of Timed Artificial Insemination (TAI) programs allows reduced emphasis on detection of oestrus because all cows are inseminated at a specific time in relation to the hormone injection (Yildiz, 2010).

James Scott in his " weapons of weak: Everyday forms of Resistance " refutes the Marxist concept of false consciousness and Gramcian idea of hegemony where oppressed give consent to dominance. Scott argues that the oppressed resist the forces of dominance but in silent forms which are non-confrontationist. Some of the weapons which peasants use are, foot dragging, dissimulation, desertion, false compliance, pilfering, feigned ignorance, slander, arson and sabotage. These techniques are suited to scattered nature of peasantry and difficulty in organizing any collective political action. Scott's position is that peasant and worker resistance rarely occur in the form of violence and revolution. His argument hinges on the common sense position that violence erupts when forms of survival becomes impossible. In the light of this theory the present paper analyzes the forms of silent protest by the peasants and workers of Kashmir under the autocratic Dogra Raj.

The Surface Energy Balance System (SEBS) and Penman Monteith method were used to estimate actual and reference evapotranspiration and other energy fluxes in the monthly and seasonal time steps using climatic parameters. The rainfall data was obtained from the office of meteorological station in Navrongo, Ghana. The study showed that at the peak of the rainy season where there is abundant of moisture in the soil, ET a rate equals ET o. When the moisture content in the soil is limited as a result of insufficient rainfall and the crops unable to absorb water from the soil, the ET a becomes lower than ET o. Precipitation was much higher than ET o in the month of April which was the optimum planting date of most crops and October.

To investigate the nephrotoxic effect of Acrylamide (ACR), 50 adult male rats (Wistar, approximately 250 g) housed in polycarbonate boxes as 5 per each, and randomly assigned in 5 groups including 4 exposure groups as A, B, C, and D groups of rats (10 rats per exposure group., total) and were exposed to 0.5, 5, 50, 100 mg/kg ACR per day×11days i.p. respectively. The remaining 10 rats were housed in group (E) as control group. Control rats received daily i.p. injections of 0.9% saline (3ml/kg). On day 12, four rats, were randomly selected, perfused, dissected and proper samples were collected from their kidneys. Results of histopathological studies based on H&E technique did show no morphologic changes in kidneys of rats belong to groups A, B and E, while moderate to severe morphologic changes including glomerular hypercellularity, global pattern of proliferative glomerulonephritis, occupation of capsular space, tubular cell swelling and hyaline cast formation, were observed in different stained sections obtained from the kidneys of rats belong to group, C, and D. This finding, beside neurotoxic, reproductive and carcinogenic effects, seems to indicate for the first time another important aspect of toxic effect of ACR, i.e., acute nephrotoxicity.

Basal Stem Rot (BSR) disease is the biggest threat for oil palm production in Malaysia caused by Ganoderma boninense which had been causing a huge damage for the oil palm industry in Malaysia. The objective of this study was to develop bioorganic fertilizer containing Pseudomonas GanoEB3 for suppressing basal stem rot disease in oil palm seedlings. Endophytic bacteria, Pseudomonas GanoEB3 was isolated from healthy oil palm roots and cultured on nutrient agar media. A suspension containing 10 8 CFU/mL of the bacteria cells being mixed with vermiculite powder and stored at room temperature. The vermiculite powder containing Pseudomonas GanoEB3 has been formulated with Bioorganic EFB and Bioorganic RS. Pathological analysis showed that Bioorganic EFB Pseudomonas GanoEB3 (T3) and Bioorganic RS Pseudomonas GanoEB3 (T4) have a good potential in inhibiting basal stem rot disease in oil palm seedlings. After eight months of experiment, oil palm seedlings treated with Bioorganic EFB Pseudomonas GanoEB3 and Bioorganic RS Pseudomonas GanoEB3 resulted the reduced percentage for following parameters; disease incidence (DI) for T3 (40%) and T4 (50%), area under the disease progress curve (AUDPC) for T3 (42 units2) and T4 (76 units2), disease severity of foliar index (DSFI) for T3 (37.5%) and T4 (45%), disease severity of bole index (DSBI) for T3 (40%) and T4 (47.5%), disease severity of root index (DSRI) for T3 (55%) and T4 (52.5%) and dead seedlings for T3 (30%) and T4 (40%) compared with control treatment (T2). It shows that both treatments have a good potential in inhibiting BSR disease in oil palm seedlings. This study revealed that Bioorganic EFB and Bioorganic RS containing Pseudomonas GanoEB3 are suitable as an effective biological control agent for suppressing BSR disease in oil palm seedlings.

Experimental proves are given that how magnetic energy is efficiently converted into mechanical energy. The motivation of present research is to develop efficient motor by using available magnetic energy. Spiral Efficient Motor (VFSEM) is a permanent magnetic motor which is more efficient than conventional DC motors because of more than 90% flux linkage. VFSEM possess unique characteristics from typical DC motors. Principle is based on variable stator field and electromagnetic rotor and is accomplished by varying distance; as distance is proportional to field. In the attractive mode the radial magnetic field's strength increases or in repulsive mode strength decreases as the rotor turns through one complete cycle. Variable magnetic field is applied to a finite distance after words it repeats itself hence rotor get locked between minimum and maximum field strength. In order to help the rotor to traverse the gap an electromagnet pulsed switch is used. Mathematical and experimental proof of this theory is mentioned in this work.

It argues that Nigeria's failures have come about largely as a result of frequent leadership challenges; lack of ideology, policy reversal and weak institutional patterns. The study adopts descriptive approach and content analysis as its methodological orientation. The paper also examines the leadership selection process in Nigeria and found that the leadership selection process in Nigeria takes the imposition pattern and that Nigerian leaders have frequently come to their position with limited experience. Hence, the decline in moral and high level of corruption caused by bad policies, eroded professional standards and ethics and weakened the system of governance. The paper observes that for Nigeria to overcome the crises of leadership in the country, those on whom the burden of leadership will fall in the future must fully comprehend their responsibilities, duties and obligation. They must also be exposed and be prepared to face the challenges of leadership in developing society. Since the long term salvation of our country depends on the quality of its future leaders. The paper concludes that only leadership that has maximum empathy for the people can be relevant to the qualitative development of Nigeria.

Data were collected from 900 crop farmers spread across the three agricultural zones through the use of structured interview schedule. Multistage random sampling technique was used in selecting respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and correlation analysis. The findings showed that majority of the respondents were male (92%), aged less than 50 years (76%) and earn less that N500, 000 per annum (68%). Also, majority (84%) of the respondents were not aware of the detrimental effects of chemical fertilizers. The correlation between awareness and practice of sustainable alternatives such as planting of nitrogen fixing legumes (0.474**), use of crop rotation (-0.309**) and conservation tillage-0.149**) were positive. While leaving of crop residues (-0.011), fallowing (-0.131) and permaculture (-0.005) had negative values. It is therefore recommended that Bauchi State Agricultural Development Programme should within the limited resources available to it step up sensitization and enlightenment of farmers in the state on the harmful effects of chemical fertilizers and the need to replace them with sustainable alternatives. It can achieve this through local radio and television programs, demonstration and village enlightenment campaigns.

However, biotic stresses such as diseases have impeded rice cultivation both in the tropics and subtropics. Of them, Rice sheath blight (ShB), caused by Rhizoctonia solani, leads to severe yield losses in many rice production areas worldwide. little progress has been made in rice breeding for sheath blight resistance. None of the commercially cultivated rice varieties have sufficient level of field resistance, and the disease is presently being managed by chemical pesticides.Within the strobilurins group, azoxystrobin fungicide is widely used as it works effectively against ShB pathogen infestation. The survival and inoculums potential of the R. solani is directly related with severity and incidence of disease. Wild relatives of cultivated rice are a potential source of novel genes for insect and disease resistance, as well as tolerance to several abiotic stresses and a source of yield and yield enhancing traits.
Rice blast caused by the fungal pathogen, Magnaporthe grisea (anamorph: Pyricularia grisea) limit... more Rice blast caused by the fungal pathogen, Magnaporthe grisea (anamorph: Pyricularia grisea) limits rice yield in all major rice-growing regions of the world and the rice blast fungus, Magnaporthe oryzae, is responsible for the most serious disease of rice and is a continuing threat to ensuring global food security. The fungus has also, however, emerged as a model experimental organism for understanding plant infection processes by pathogenic fungi. This hemibiotrophic pathogen penetrates in epidermal cells and causes lesions on leaves, leaf collar, culm, culm nodes and panicle neck causing failure of seed filling. After successful penetration, the invasive hyphae grow rapidly in the host cells and caused blast lesions. in 5 to 7 days, the pathogen produces numerous conidia from the lesions and initiates a new infection cycle. A number of signal transduction pathways are implicated in appressorium-mediated plant infection and have been characterised as a potential means of developing new chemical intervention strategies for disease control. With the advent of new technologies like marker-assisted selection, molecular mapping, map-based cloning, marker-assisted backcrossing and allele mining, breeders have identified more than 100 Pi loci and 350 QTL in rice genome responsible for blast disease.
Grain yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.) has four components: panicle number, total spikelet number ... more Grain yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.) has four components: panicle number, total spikelet number per panicle (TSN), grain weight and spikelet fertility. There is wide variation in TSN among cultivated rice varieties and it is one of the targets of breeding programs to improve rice yield. Many hypotheses have been proposed to explain ecophysiological process that determines spikelet number per unit area. Nitrogen is one of the most yield-limiting nutrients in crop production, and its proper management is essential for improving grain yield. Grain number is linearly correlated with total plant N content. Nitrogen fertilizer might affect CKs levels to increase rice flower numbers. To identify the loci controlling panicle architecture, QTLs for panicle traits such as number of primary or secondary branches and spikelet number per primary or secondary branch have been mapped and studied. QTLs for TSN have been identified using various segregating populations, including F 2 populations, recombinant inbred lines (RILs), and doubled haploid (DH) lines.

Among these parameters the real prediction of surface runoff is the crucial task. Many hydrologic models are available to estimate surface runoff from precipitation data. The development of a GIS based model that would make it possible to assess the surface runoff accurately and efficiently. On the basis of this requirement a model called " Runoff, Infiltration and Nonpoint Source Pollution Estimation " (RINSPE) was developed for estimating runoff, infiltration and nonpoint source pollution in the Ton river catchment based on the different land cover type distribution within the catchment. The Curve Number method for estimating direct runoff from rainstorms is now widely used in engineering design, post-event appraisals, and environmental impact estimation. In the present investigation the Initial Abstraction coefficient in the Curve Number method considered with 2 different scenarios by assuming " λ " value as 0.2 for general conditions and 0.3 for Indian conditions to run RINSPE model. The results reveal that the surface runoff of 860.79 mm occurred with a loss of 62.93 mm in the form of infiltration for scenarios: 1. The most occupied area in the Ton watershed is forest which is having a runoff of 656 mm with 124mm infiltration and a very slight variation in prediction of runoff and infiltration for scenario: 2 for the same land cover classes. In the present study the results reveals that " λ " value is 0.2 of I a gave minute higher runoff values than " λ " value with 0.3. This experimental investigation makes sure that, higher the initial abstraction lowers the runoff and vice versa.

A shift from 2-Dimensional (2D) to 3D cartographic animation recently emerged to solve problems of geodata perception and analysis. As a proof of concept, 3D of UNIBEN educational landuse was modelled from Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM) Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data draped on GeoEye satellite image to give a 3D impression using ArcScene 10.1 Software. The height of each building was extruded from digitized footprint. From the 2D and 3D image maps produced, a campus navigation simulation and animation are geovisualized. Results of the study show that, besides the open land area of the university campus, staff residential quarters had the highest land use, followed by academic (lecture theatres and staff offices) and students " hostels respectively. The Faculty of Arts/Social Sciences had the highest building height of 16m and 5 floors respectively. The structural query of the 372 mapped building structures reveals 29 of them were 13m high. From the 3D as-built model, spatial information on each building (name, number of floor, height, use and spatial references) are obtained. From flight simulation, the 3D geovisualization of different perspective views of the campus revealed the huge beauty and spatial organisation hitherto unavailable in a traditional 2D map. The study is recommended for the implementation of a campus-wide efficient sustainable spatial planning and electronic street guide.

A survey (random survey) method was employed to elicit primary information from 100 students who took STAR training from different NSDC partners in Lucknow. The findings seek to answer some basic questions. Are the youths being really mobilized to be skilled outside the formal education system? Is the training delivery mechanism good enough to make the students employable? Would the industries be willing to cut down the minimum qualification criteria to promote skill development .A questionnaire based on as random sampling, was employed for data collection. Data analysis was accomplished using simple weighted average and percentage method.
