This study aims to assess the extent to which and how research limitations acknowledged in Persian theses and dissertations (TDs). 664 Persian TDs published from 2009 to 2018 selected randomly through cluster sampling technique from IranDoc's TDs database and the last chapter of 578 TDs analyzed. Through content analysis method, reported limitations analyzed and coded. Around 17% of TDs (99/578) addressed at least one limitation in their reports, while 64% of them had a specific heading for this section. The trend of reporting limitations has increased during current decades and students in humanities areas have paid more attentions to this section. Overall, 22 key limitations have been repeated 268 times in the TDs and "sampling bias" is more frequent with 29 repeats among them. Addressing research limitations in TDs is very incomplete. Thus, it is essential to study the status of Iranian libraries of UMS in terms of integration features. Accordingly, the main objective of the present study was the identification of integration in libraries of Iranian UMS in terms of metadata, digital contents, software, hardware, and human force. The quantitative study was conducted with an analytic survey method. The statistical population consists of 66 Iranian UMS, of this, 59 libraries completed the researcher-made questionnaire. To ensure the accuracy of data, interviews and, in some cases, observations were also performed. Statistical estimates of frequency, percentage, cumulative frequency, and diagrams were utilized for data analysis. The results demonstrated that the library software programs of UMS do n...

Methodology: For the purpose of data collection, 226 public librarians were surveyed via an online questionnaire. However, data was analyzed by SPSS 16 as a means of reporting the results. The Walton’s QWL questionnaire was specifically constructed and standardized by the investigators for data gathering. Results: The level of QWL among public librarians is relatively high. Significant difference in the mean scores of QWL’s four dimensions was found to exist between the librarians of two organizations. This finding probably relates to the management system of these two organizations. A significant difference in mean QWL scores was noticed amongst the groups of librarians categorized on th...

However, to establish a national ETDs developers need to be aware of the Critical Success Factors (CSFs). CSFs are the few key areas where " things must go right " for the program to flourish and without them the organization's efforts for the period will be less than desired. This paper aims to identify CSFs deemed crucial for the implementation of national ETDs through review the existing body of knowledge related to this topic. Based on categorizing and thematizing data, this paper conceptualizes a generic framework comprised of five broad dimensions (managementand organization, involvement, service, content, and technicalities) in order to make a national ETDs program successful. With knowledge about CSFs, stakeholders and managers would be more able to ach...

Bibliometrics research topics and bibliometric indicators have grown dramatically in Iran since 2000 as a part of the post-war reconstruction programs. This paper aims to highlight how scientometrics may attract attention in developing countries such as Iran in response to national movements in education and science. An in-depth review on available guidelines for promotion of innovation, science, and technology in Iran was done followed by a review on previous research in this topic. Further data were gathered from Scopus and other sources. The findings show a considerable growth in research output of Iran in recent years and expansion of bibliometrics studies and jobs accordingly. Combined with research output measures, more attention was found in academia about cross-section development of science and technology in Iran. The demand in society has led to the foun...
