The Reapers only wish they were as cool as these guys.

The Destructons almost destroyed the entire galaxy long ago, but were eventually defeated and imprisoned within a dimensional barrier by the Logicons. Eons later, they were unleashed upon the cosmos once again by a hapless Andegean scientist, and came into conflict with the Autobots and Decepticons alike. Timelines

The Decepticon Breakdown was tasked by Galvatron with finding the ancient Destructon structure known as the Maelstrom Fracture Obelisk. Just as he found it and was about to report on its location, Psychokhan attacked him with a Psychospear. The mental attack of the spear combined with the power of the obelisk's Disentanglement Field to send Breakdown flinging throughout the multiverse, and he would not be discovered and retrieved from transwarp by the Transcendent Technomorphs until many years later. During his days as a seemingly mundane Autobot leader in Aurex 404.11 Kappa, Vector Prime led his troops to successfully defeat many threats, including the Destructons. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/12

Notes

  • A short promotion in Amazing Heroes #133 describes Blackthorne's upcoming Transformers epic as featuring five Destructons. This is either an error, something that changed during writing, or a hint towards a future plot point, though we'll likely never know which...
