The Fall of Man was a series of civil wars that began in the 25th century that marked the end of the Human Confederacy and the beginning of the saeleacum obscurum (lit. "Dark Ages").

Beast Wars: Uprising

The Human Confederacy was born in 2029 through reverse engineering of Cybertronian technology. After the Scouring of Nebulos in 2031, the humans imposed an armistice on the Cybertronians pushing them into the Allowed Zone consisting of Cybertron and nine other worlds. Galvatron made an attempt to break free of the Allowed Zone which went rather poorly for the Cybertronians. The humans cut the Allowed Zone in half and continued to advance their technology even further as they explored the galaxy. Micro-Aggressions

In the mid to late 24th century, mankind began to divide into the Traditionalist and the Celestial movements. By the 25th century, this division had grown into a schism that began to suck resources away from the Confederacy Fleet which resulted in old ships being stuck in service longer than they should. The schisms soon devolved into a series of wars that resulted in the end of humanity's technological empire and a new dark age for the species.
