Following Flash's sudden disappearance, Hurricane and the other Turbomasters learned from Perceptor that their teammate had been drawn through the Interfacer, but the scientist was unable to deal with the situation at the moment. The Transformers
- Hurricane (Turbomaster, 1992)
- Accessories: Missile launcher, 3 missiles
- Known designers: Takio Ejima (TakaraTomy), Masakatsu Saito (concept artist)
- Hurricane transforms into a "Le Mans"-style racer loosely based on a Porsche 917. His engine in vehicle mode is a spring-loaded missile-launching cannon usable in both vehicle and robot modes.
- Hurricane's sticker instructions are slightly misleading; they suggest placing the rectangular sticker in the middle of his launcher, rather than in the space right next to the white rim where it actually fits (as seen on the Japanese packaging). They also don't specify where the tail light stickers should go—on the raised sculpting, with the orange indicators on the outsides.[1]
- The figure was also released in Japan as the character Checker Road.
- A proposed Fun Publications BotCon exclusive was a redeco of Prime Smokescreen into Hurricane.[2]
- Weirdly, despite his Tech Spec calling out his status as a superintelligent wunderkind and strategist, Hurricane's Tech Spec claims his Intelligence to be 5, the lowest in the Turbomasters--Flash is the next lowest, at 7, and the others all have a 10.
- French: Tempête ("Tempest")
- Italian: Vortex
- ↑ "Now, if you place that sticker BETWEEN the slightly raised rectangular section and the white rim of the launcher, it fits absolutely perfectly within that space! Also, if you take a look at the stock photography on the above Takara packaging, that's where that Checker Road has the sticker on the launcher too!"—"Hasbro G1 Turbomaster Hurricane", 2018/09/19
