Indonesia is an Asian country composed of many, many islands. Among them are Bali, Borneo, Buru, Java, Pulau Bidadari, and Sumatra. The capital is Jakarta.
In the past, Indonesia was a colony of the Netherlands.

When the Decepticon cruiser crashed four million years ago, it ejected an escape module containing three Decepticons. The capsule landed in an area that would later become the Demon Swamp of Bali, which became the home of the trio following their reawakening. In 1985, the Decepticons that had remained aboard the cruiser got wind of their activities and reintroduced them in their ranks with a joint attack on an oil refinery. A Plague of Insecticons

The Decepticons ruined a large part of the Sumatran jungle in their quest for oil. Storms of Destruction Later, they brainwashed the population of Buru to collect the islands' oil for them. This went unnoticed by the Autobots for quite some time because the Decepticons arranged distraction attacks whenever their enemies could get too close to Buru. Soon after the battle of Chicago, a Decepticon cell (secretly run by Lockdown) attacked Jakarta’s slums and killed hundreds of people: the plan was to draw the Autobots out, then force them to rush them head-on at Pulau Bidadari where they’d use an old, thick-stone Dutch fort as a defensive position. The plan didn’t account for Crosshairs making a solo surprise attack, killing Lockdown’s men. Thousand Island Fight
