2005 IDW continuity
Reese was part of a Sunstreaker clone Headmaster unit that pursued Hot Rod and Wheeljack to Wreck -n- Rule in Warsaw. Despite incapacitating Wheeljack, the Headmasters were easily brought down one by one by Hot Rod. Reese was the last Headmaster remaining and just as Hot Rod was about to take care of him, Hardhead shot the Sunstreaker clone Reese was in, causing an explosion and likely killing Reese.
