Some cycles before the Autobots and Decepticons returned to Cybertron, Skullcruncher found his way into the depths of the inactive Iaconus. Maccadam let him stay to keep out the "riff-raff".
During the Quintessons' occupation of Cybertron, Skullcruncher attacked Perceptor, making him lose an arm in the process. As Perceptor met up with his comrades in search of Iaconus' cloaking module, Skullcruncher secretly followed them before attacking Clobber. Using the techniques they honed in the training simulation, the other Cybertronians freed Clobber and escaped Skullcruncher. He later made one last lunge at the intruders only to get smacked by Maccadam, send him running off. The Citizen

Cyberverse
- The sole figure released in the eighth wave of Cyberverse Ultra figures, Skullcruncher transforms into a crocodile. He includes a blaster and his tail has a flip-out sword and can also store his blaster in beast mode. In robot mode, his energon armor gimmick can be activated which has an energon crocodile helmet flip over his robot head. The energon helmet has an articulated jaw that can open via a tab on the back. Like most latter-wave Cyberverse Ultras, Skullcruncher boasts a greater level of articulation than most figures in the same toyline.
- Skullcruncher was released twice: First in 2020 under the Bumblebee: Cyberverse Adventures subline imprint, and then again in 2021 in the line's final Dinobots Unite subline imprint packaging refresh.
Notes
- Skullcruncher's design is heavily inspired by his Generation 1 counterpart's Titans Return toy.
- Though Skullcruncher lacks a faction insignia in the cartoon, the toyline and concept artwork identify him as a Decepticon.
- Cyberverse writer Mae Catt referred to Skullcruncher as female during an online Q&A,[1] but the character is identified as male by Maccadam within the show itself ("He snuck in here a few millennia ago...").
- According to Catt, Skullcruncher works as the bouncer in Maccadam's after Perceptor took over the bar.
