To Apelinq's amazement, eleven new warriors, the literal Covenant of Primus, have appeared! He's missed his chance to return home and laments having to wait again for the appearance of another transwarp gateway.

- Just as the title says, Apelinq beholds the arrival of the Covenant, a group of twelve (here eleven) prototypical Transformers who were the very first creations of Primus (a concept that would be recycled for the better-known Thirteen), and were first introduced in the BotCon 1999 prose story aptly titled "Covenant".
- The arrival of the Covenant described here parallels their arrival in the BotCon 2000 comic story "Terminus", specifically on Page 18 (pictured right), immediately after Apelinq's thought bubbles on Page 17, whose text was reflected in the text of Journal 18.
- Apelinq missed his opportunity to use his transwarp program to latch onto a gateway and send him home. He was preparing to do this back in the previous chapter, but got distracted when the Covenant showed up.
Transformers references
- Apelinq likens the "Covenant of Primus" group to the "Covenant of Primus" book. This is the first, last, and only time that a direct connection has ever been made between the two.
