Open market operations refers to the buying and selling of government securities in order to expa... more Open market operations refers to the buying and selling of government securities in order to expand or contract the amount of money in the banking system facilitated by Federal Reserve. It also adjust the rupee liquidity conditions. When RBI sells government securities in the markets the banks purchase government securities and have a reduced ability to lend the public. The reduced surplus cash contracts the rupee liquidity crunch in the economy. Similarly, RBI buys securities in order to increase money circulation. The objectives of this paper is to view the role of open market operations in Indian Financial Sector as well as find out the instrument on financial sector and the flexibility of open market operations. It also reviews the monetary policy formulation process and offers a broad perspective on the linkages among monetary policy and the economy. It conclude that, risks if the central bank relies excessively on operations in private paper, which can become illiquid. The study has designed three objectives, namely, to describe the demographic variables of investors, evaluated the association between demographic variables and awareness level of investors and the factors determining the investor's decision to invest in commodity markets in India. The data were collected from both primary and secondary sources. The data were collected through a structured questionnaire of 101 individual respondents. Further, secondary data were collected from books, periodicals, magazines; etc. Chi-square test was used for data analysis. The study found that majority of the investor fall in the age group 18-25 and is graduated. Mostly the respondents were male and the majority of respondent"s income was less than twenty thousand. The study suggested providing an awareness program to potential investors for creating awareness. There is a need to create awareness among different sets of investors in relation to a commodity market. The study suggests that the people who are least qualified can be informed the benefits of investments.

Tamil Nadu is also making the highest contribution in the total domestic production, consumption and exports, after Maharashtra, Haryana and Gujarat. As is well-known, the Indian economy had faced the crunch due to the impact of meltdown on exchange rate volatility, interest rate changes, raw material cost fluctuation, import restrictions, demand for export, worker’s shortage and competitive products with modern innovations. Recently, Union Budget is also decreasing the fund for higher education in India for the last five years. This research is focused mainly on existing problems and challenges which are needed to be addressed and seeks to provide the solution thereabout. At present in India, there exists three-tier management education administration i.e., Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), Entrepreneur's and prestigious industry run best management institutes and management departments of Universities. Besides this, private B-Schools and non-statutory business training institutions also impact business education leading to MBA degree or PGDM diploma. Unfortunately, most of the students don't get the job in the completion of the course. In most of the cases, even the best student doesn't cater to the needs of the market because in the formal education system the gap between what is taught and what is demanded by the market is evident. Hence, an urgent need to rethink and redesign the management courses has arisen. The financial structure of a company can show its capacity to generate the funds needed to undertake the desired expansion. The financial performance assessment together with other efficiency criteria, will give an idea of the total efficiency and industry performance. The success of the company ultimately depends upon its future growth and development. The company " s future can never be predicted with accuracy without having precise information related to its present financial position and its past earnings. In addition, the present study analyzed the impact of the performance of liquidity, solvency and efficiency on the profitability of the textile industry using CMIE data. The study found the impact of financial ratios, such as return on capital employed and net profit ratio, on the profitability of textile industry in Tamil Nadu, was meticulously studied. From the Generalized Least Square method it was found that absolute liquidity ratio had the highest impact among the financial ratios on the return on net profit ratio as well as creditors " turnover ratio is highest impact on return on capital employed during the study period with statistical significance.It presents a detailed analysis of the determinants of financial performance of textile industry in Tamil Nadu using financial ratios. The financial structure of a company can show its capacity to generate the funds needed to undertake the desired expansion. The financial performance assessment together with other efficiency criteria, will give an idea of the total efficiency and industry performance. The success of the company ultimately depends upon its future growth and development. The company " s future can never be predicted with accuracy without having precise information related to its present financial position and its past earnings. In addition, the present study analyzed the impact of the performance of liquidity, solvency and efficiency on the profitability of the textile industry using CMIE data. The study found the impact of financial ratios, such as return on capital employed and net profit ratio, on the profitability of textile industry in Tamil Nadu, was meticulously studied. From the Generalized Least Square method it was found that absolute liquidity ratio had the highest impact among the financial ratios on the return on net profit ratio as well as creditors " turnover ratio is highest impact on return on capital employed during the study period with statistical significance.It presents a detailed analysis of the determinants of financial performance of textile industry in Tamil Nadu using financial ratios. Training has been a roller coaster ride since it has entered into the territory of challenging business environment with the factor of changing business approaches under the influence of globalization. Now, when the management education is on the threshold of a new orientation, particularly Indian management education envisages a multi-dimensional stride to unleash its value in comparison with Global standard, training methods to improve student’s management skills need a face lift to embrace the said challenges. companies facing challenges from the general manager’s point of view on financial sustainability of selected textile companies.
The study has used factor analysis for exploring various dimensions of barrier as well as weighted average method and other tests for selected measurement analyzes using SPSS-17 version for different statistics. Overall, the large scale companies performing very well with automatic plant with modern innovation products, medium scale unable to produce due to various reasons and impacting the growth and technological factors as well as facing various difficulties. It reflects overall textile issues and challenges as general results towards the structured questionnaires.

Indian Textile industry is playing an essential role in the world after China and it is contribut... more Indian Textile industry is playing an essential role in the world after China and it is contributing growth towards GDP, employment, exchange reserves, exports, total production etc. It investigates the investment decision factors, risk, and growth factors of CMIE registered Indian Textile companies from the state of Tamil Nadu. The study has used regression analysis to know which investment factor is highly impacting on the financial performance and which risk factors are highly impacting on the textile finance companies. Factor analysis used to explore the growth factors of textile companies and have identified four factors from pilot study using SPSS. The study finds management outlook is the highest impact factor on the performance of textile companies from the investment factors, it also find that the competitor risk is the highest impact among the risk factors of textile companies. Further the study suggests that the companies first emphasize on utilizing the resources efficiently to improve the performance through up-gradation of new technology, make changes in the textile policy by the local government, generate quality products with less cost, focusing on sustainability in order to boost the overall efficiency.
