Le terme "resistance" etant souvent entendu comme opposition a la dictature, il est mob... more Le terme "resistance" etant souvent entendu comme opposition a la dictature, il est mobilise ici dans une perspective psychanalytique pour penser non pas une resistance politique a la dictature, mais une resistance aux images traumatiques de cette derniere dans l'actualite. La photographie est le point de depart de cette reflexion et l'origine d'un deplacement vers une esthetique de la resistance. En partant de photos emblematiques telles que les prises de vue de l'attaque a La Moneda lors du coup d'Etat du 11 septembre 1973, ainsi que de questionnements sur l'image impossible de la disparition, ce travail envisage la possibilite d'une esthetique de la resistance qui supposerait dans son elaboration un depassement de la resistance aux images par la voie de l'esthetique. Mais comment s'opere ce deplacement d'une resistance a l'image vers une esthetique de la resistance ? Quels sont les enjeux d'un regard qui resiste - dans les deux sens du terme : qui "demeure" et qui "rejette" ? Dans quelle mesure la photographie s'avere-t-elle un outil approprie pour cette esthetique particuliere des images de la dictature ? En s'appuyant sur quelques elements de la pensee freudienne dont la theorie de la resistance (des resistances), et notamment sur des textes de Ferenczi sur le traumatisme, cette recherche interroge la pratique des photographes et des artistes pour postuler, a travers l'analyse de certaines œuvres, une ouverture de la photographie. L'elaboration d'une esthetique de la resistance fondee sur l'image photographique appelle aussi une pensee politique de l'image et du spectateur. Dans ce but, nous proposons une lecture de Jacques Ranciere et de sa mise en relation de l'esthetique et du politique, ainsi que des theoriciens ayant etudie la photographie : Rosalind Krauss, Georges Didi-Huberman et Francois Soulages. Nous reprenons egalement la critique de l'archive chez Jacques Derrida, et les postulats sur la responsabilite personnelle et le jugement presents dans l'œuvre d'Hannah Arendt.

Invitadxs a reflexionar en torno a algunos conceptos propuestos por François Soulages en su Estét... more Invitadxs a reflexionar en torno a algunos conceptos propuestos por François Soulages en su Estética de la fotografía (1998), elijo el concepto de sin-arte para explorarlo desde la perspectiva latinoamericana. Para esto tomo como premisa la obra de François Laso, fotógrafo ecuatoriano convertido en teórico en su trabajo de tesis titulado "La huella invertida". Los tráficos entre la mirada teórica y la mirada fotográfica nos conducen a la pregunta ¿Cuál sería ese espacio entre el arte y el sin-arte? ¿Qué se aloja ahí? El fotógrafo mira las fotografías de su abuelo, fotografías de la ciudad de Quito donde se ha borrado deliberadamente la imagen de los indígenas. La puesta en abismo de la mirada, el ojo crítico, el fotógrafo observa, encuentra, escribe. Proponemos aquí un análisis de la trayectoria de esa mirada.

Sus partes están formadas por formas, colores, materiales y textos usados durante el largo proceso creativo que partió al fotografiar un taller de zapatería que, tras su desmantelamiento, aportó a la artista algunos objetos, como hormas y moldes, para luego vincularlos con ideas anarquistas tan presentes en los oficios independientes y autogestionados.
Fueron invitados a escribir en esta publicación la investigadora Javiera Medina y el historiador del arte Andrés Grillo.

Deux dates "anniversaire" qui donnent lieu à un ensemble d'images et de récits... mais aussi à une sorte d'officialisation de la mémoire. Cette recherche, qui s'inscrit dans le projet Frontières Géopolitiques & Géoartistiques, étudie également la notion de "frontières", utilisée idéologiquement par les dictatures pour circonscrire un territoire national et figer les identités de chacune et de chacun.

Propuesta: La transformación operada en la percepción de las imágenes visuales, audiovisuales, de... more Propuesta: La transformación operada en la percepción de las imágenes visuales, audiovisuales, del arte, mediáticas, analógicas, digitales, entre otras, ha sido sustantiva en estas últimas décadas, ya sea por un florecimiento considerable de las instancias formativas (técnicas y académicas), como por el desarrollo tecnológico (conversión analógica-digital, aparición de internet, presencia de las redes sociales) en torno a éstas. En ese sentido, el debate crítico en torno a las imágenes se ha intensificado en los últimos años, posicionándose en la discusión teórica con una legitimidad que no tenía en décadas anteriores. De ahí la posibilidad de postular la idea de "potencia política de las imágenes" que moviliza este encuentro. Partiendo de esta base, sostenemos junto a Jacques Rancière y a Andrea Soto Calderón que "no se trata de establecer relaciones y articulaciones armónicas entre, por ejemplo, las imágenes y el discurso, si no de habilitar un espacio-una arquitectura frágil-donde la forma plástica y la palabra poética puedan tejer sus intercambios".
