Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the fertility awareness, attitudes towards parenti... more Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the fertility awareness, attitudes towards parenting, and knowledge about Assisted Reproductive Technology of Argentinian university students. Methods: This naturalistic, cross-sectional and quantitative study included the translation into Spanish of the Swedish Fertility Awareness Questionnaire; adjustments were also made to fit the questionnaire to local cultural norm. Through a snowball design using social media, university students were contacted in June 2019 and asked to complete an anonymous online self-report survey. Results: A total of 680 students (83.2% females and 16.4% males) aged 24.7 years on average (SD=5.6) answered the questionnaire. Approximately 70% believed they had high levels of knowledge about human reproduction; nevertheless, 46% thought that women could get pregnant in any stage of the cycle; 36.2% believed that fertility in women decreased between the ages of 45 and 50, 33.2% between the ages of 40 and 45, and ...
En los últimos años se ha incrementado en Argentina la cantidad de tratamientos de reproducción a... more En los últimos años se ha incrementado en Argentina la cantidad de tratamientos de reproducción asistida con donación de gametos (óvulos y/o espermatozoides). La filiación por técnicas de reproducción asistida heterólogas interroga la tradicional “herencia de sangre” objeto de estudio privilegiado de las ciencias sociales. En las últimas décadas, el paradigma sobre el anonimato de los donantes ha cambiado en muchos países. A su vez, se ha sugerido que los rápidos y generalizados avances en las pruebas genéticas podrían modificar las políticas de anonimato. ¿Cuáles son las consecuencias de fundamentar la revelación de la información genética/identificatoria sobre la base del mayor acceso que posibilitan los test genéticos? La presente reflexión parte de dos vertientes: la pública –que analiza las paradojas que encierra el articulado del nuevo Código Civil y Comercial (2015) – y la íntima, que ubica las coordenadas sobre las que se inscribe la transmisión singular de los orígenes.

Está organizado en tres partes: teórica, práctica e interdisciplina. La primera parte recoge el aporte de psicólogos y psicoanalistas, que ponen a trabajar nociones teóricas claves, en un intento por deshabitar los lugares comunes de estar a “favor” o en “contra”, en los escenarios producidos por las biotecnologías reproductivas. La segunda parte reúne el trabajo de un colectivo de psicólogas y psicoanalistas que se han dedicado a pensar la mejor manera de sistematizar la evaluación psicológica en el campo de la reproducción humana asistida en Argentina, teniendo en cuenta las particularidades de todos los actores involucrados (donantes de gametos, receptores, comitentes, usuarios y/o pacientes de TRHA). La tercera y última parte de este libro está destinada a presentar una interlocución con otras disciplinas como la Sociología, la Antropología, el Derecho y la Medicina. El dispositivo de la medicina reproductiva se sostiene en un complejo entramado de prácticas y discursos, lo que requiere saberes situados, contextuados y la consolidación del trabajo interdisciplinario. Esta compilación forma parte del Proyecto de Desarrollo Estratégico Circuitos de la reproducción asistida: una matriz de toma de decisiones e intervenciones sobre el origen, financiado por la Secretaria de Ciencia y Técnica de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y dirigido por la Doctora Natacha Salomé Lima (UBA-CONICET).
