The comparison has been realized between the integer PID, fractional PID and PID SIMC controllers. The robustness analysis uses a factorial design of experiments. The factorial design has as input factors the uncertainty in the gain of the plant, the presence of random noise in the feedback loop, and the existence of external bounded disturbance. The outputs of the factorial design measure the performance of each PID control system using the response to Step Input and Control Action signal. The results show that the fractional PID controller has a better performance front to plant uncertain and an excellent rejection to external disturbances, which indicating a greater robustness of the process and lower power consumption.

And as they signal, these collaborations take many forms along what Chip Colwell-Chanthaphonh and T.J. Ferguson have termed a "collaborative continuum." As we all know, putting these grand ideas into practice is often a path full of stumbling blocks but also rich opportunities to learn. For this, we are grateful to the organizers for assembling so many who are thinking about these issues, trying to implement new ideas, and perhaps struggling with how to be successful and what success even means. It's a unique opportunity to learn from each other within the specific context of work in Ecuador. Our paper is a reflection on what it means to do "Community Based Participatory Research" (CBPR) as archaeologists based on our experiences in Cangahua, Ecuador over nearly 20 years with the Pambamarca Archaeology Project (PAP). The thoughts shared here are a product of conversations that we have been having between members of the project, including students, senior staff, directors and a leader of a local community youth group with whom we partnered this past year. This process provided a valuable opportunity for all of us to take stock of the past 2 decades of experiences and really consider how the project has impacted and been impacted by work with local communities. As many of you know, a project with over 20 years means that many who were just young kids at the start of the
