Corporalidade. Dança. Regimes de conhecimento.

This music is translated into the visionary art of the Mahku – Huni Kuin Artist Movement.
For the past few decades, Ibã has registered and transcribed the ritual songs and knowledge of his father, Tuin Huni Kuin, and other elders. The huni meka songs, studied by Ibã Huni Kuin, are performed during the nixi pae ceremonies. The performance of the songs stimulates the visions the participants have after drinking the beverage. We understand, therefore, that the songs also create a visual language, composed of images that not are not bound by narrative, as the songs don’t tell stories; it is these song-images that are transformed into drawings, with his son, the teacher Bane Huni Kuin.

Abstract: This article starts with the notion of "speaking of the earth", developed in research by indigenous academics of the Federal University of Acre, to reflect on the notion of listening to the earth. The idea of listening to the earth or "poetic listening" (PRIGOGINE & STENGERS, 1991) will appear in different areas of Western thought in the second half of the 20 th century, in works that already problematize the ecological crisis provoked by modernity and think how science models the relationship of the human with the planet and other beings. In this process, we are interested in the role of what can be understood as language, articulated with the role of extra-modern peoples, in this task of rethinking the university and its practices today.

The drawings presented are products of MAHKU – Huni Kuin Artists Movement inspired from the huni meka songs. The nixi pae (ayahuasca) songs are the motive for the commentary of Ibã Huni Kuin and his way of " translation " of the language of songs, which he calls " put in the sense " (pôr ou colocar no sentido). In the first part we make a brief presentation of the Ibã and collective Huni Kuin artists research and the trajectory of MAHKU, portrayed in the audiovisual essay The nixi pae's dream (Dir.

Between images, bodies and earth: transformations of MAHKU – Huni Kuin Artists Movement
ABSTRACT: This article begins with the notion of cosmopolitics, in the sense given by Isabelle Stengers, to describe and comment on the processes of transformation of images in the work of the collective MAHKU-Huni Kuin Artists Movement. As in the practices of knowledge described by Stengers, in the context presented the notion of politics also seems insufficient. To get out of the impasse, we steal Gilles Deleuze's writing practice, specifically the concept of between, to think of the transformations of the images as transformations of those among which the images are written and, finally, returning to cosmopolitics, to point to the MAHKU experience as a practice proper to a cannibal metaphysics.
