We recognize 38 species, 15 are endemic and four were firstly described based on this study. Most of the species occur in the Atlantic Forest (32 species), followed by the Caatinga (11 species) and Cerrado (one species). Nine names are treated as synonym for the first time here. Descriptions, identification key, phenological data, illustrations, maps of geographical distribution in Bahia and comments are presented.

Fieldwork in western São Paulo revealed the first record of C. malmei Harms in this state, and this is only the second time that this species has been found in the Southeast Region of Brazil. Additional analyses of a related species, C. marginata Benth. revealed the same rare pattern of distribution in the region. We provide morphological descriptions, comments on geographical distribution, assessment of conservation status, phenology, and an identification key to the species of Copaifera in the Cerrado in southeastern Brazil.

It is similar to B. grisea and B. petasitifolia, with which it is compared. Diagnostic characters, geographic distribution and conservation status of the new species are presented.

A total of 43 species of Heteropterys were recognized, among which H. cochleosperma, H. macradena, H. syringifolia and H. trigoniifolia represents new records for the state. Eleven species are considered endemics to this state and six are listed in the Red Book of Flora of Brazil. The treatment includes an identification key, descriptions and comments on all taxa, as well as illustrations and distribution maps of species in Bahia.

This new species is known only from Brazilian Cerrado of central-western Bahia and northern Minas Gerais, and is closely related to Copaifera rondonii F.C. Hoehne. St.Hil.
