With regard to removal of heavy metals, bioaccumulation is an advantageous technique which is comparatively safer and cheaper. In this context, attempt was made to evaluate the bioaccumulation potentiality of heavy metal removing microbial flora from tannery effluents of Bangladesh. Effluent sample was collected from the drainage pipes of leather industrial zone at Hazaribagh, Dhaka, Bangladesh with proper precautions and isolation was done on mineral salt medium supplimented with different concentrations of lead and chromium separately. Antibiotic resistance pattern was checked through disc diffusion method and efficacy was determined using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) furnace. Isolated bacterial colony was gram negative, rod shaped, motile, white colored morphologically. The optimum culture co...

It is administered as an infusion or subcutaneous injection. Molnupiravir is an antiviral medication that inhibits the replication of certain RNA viruses. There is very limited data available regarding co administration of oral Molnupiravir along with intravenous REGEN-COV™ (Casirivimab and imdevimab) in CKD patient. Here, we report the successful outcome of REGEN-COV™ along with oral Molnupiravir in a CKD Stage V hospitalized patient with Symptomatic COVID-19 Pneumonia

A total of 10 breeding bucks were used as experimental animal. The aim of the investigation was to analyze of goat semen by using Eosin-Nigrosin stain and Rose Bengal stain under differential interference microscope. The study included investigation of the age in month, ejaculation volume (ml), mass activity of the semen, spermatozoa motility (%), viable % spermatozoa and normal spermatozoa, and morphologically abnormal sperm especially in head that included the acrosome, midpiece, and tail. Semen was collected twice in a week from each buck by using Artificial Vagina method. Age of bucks were 14.9±4.1 months, ejaculate volume of semen was 0.5±0.3 ml, motility was 80.8±3.5 (%), mass activity was 4.The percentage of via...

There is a growing demand on corporati ons to base their decisions and operations on the satisfaction of society’s expectations and s takeholders’ interests which has paved the way for establishing a new norm for corporate social re sponsibility (CSR) encapsulating human rights development programs. Thus, an approach to establis h international standards of human rights for the practice of CSR and stakeholder management could be derived from rights to form reciprocal relationships between organizations and society. Against this backdrop this paper explores the dimensions of voluntary CSR practices ba ed on extant literature and proposes a framework embedded in a governance mechanism for im ple enting CSR-encapsulated human rights program. A self-administered survey questionnaire was developed and administered to 219 healthcare professionals. Data are analysed applying the structural equation modelling (SEM) technique. The SEM model demonstrated an acceptable model fit (χ2 = 534.241; df, 239, χ2/df = 2.235, RMSEA = 0.06, IFI = 0.92, TLI = 0.93, and CFI = 0.92) and indicates content quality, perceived risk, perceived credibility, peer influence, confirmation of expectations, supporting conditions, and perceived cost significantly influence the notion of perceived social media usefulness. Furthermore, perceived social media usefulness positively affects social media usage behaviour of healthcare professionals. This research generates important insights into what drives the adoption of social media by healthcare professionals. These insig...

In this study, molecular docking is utilized to test some previously approved drugs against the SARS-CoV-2 nonstructural protein 15 (Nsp15). We screened 23 drugs, from which three (saquinavir, valrubicin and aprepitant) show a paramount predicted binding affinity (-9.1, -9.6 and -9.2 kcal/mol, respectively) against SARS-CoV-2 Nsp15. Moreover, saquinavir and aprepitant make nonbonded interactions with Leu201 in the active site cavity of Nsp15, while the drug valrubicin interacts with Arg199 and Leu201. This binding pattern may be effective against the targeted protein, leading to Nsp15 blockage and virus abolition. Additionally, the pharmacological properties of the screened drugs are known since they have been approved against different viruses.

Rogers RT5880 (lossy) is used as dielectric substrate material having dielectric constant of 2.2 and tangent loss of 0.0009. The size of the proposed antenna is of 8000 mm3 At first all performance parameters of the proposed antenna have been estimated by using Zeland IE3D simulation software. Then the same design has also been analyzed by using CST to buttress the performance of the proposed antenna. From the performance estimation and analysis of two separate simulation softwares, it can be concluded that the proposed modified E shaped antenna would be an excellent candidate for C band satellite applications.

Accordingly, service quality, satisfaction and performance have become an area of interest in such research field. An extensive review of literature revealed that very limited attention has been given to explore the borrower customers’ perspectives regarding the conventional public, private and specialised private banking. Therefore, this research strives to accommodate a developing perspective where conventional and non-conventional Islamic banks are operating and providing services to their customers. Data have been collected from 78 borrower customers to examine their perceived quality, satisfaction and performances of banks. The study revealed that service performance by the Islamic and conventional private banks were found well-organized in providing services and better than public banks. The study finally addressed the limitations and future research directions.

Although a growing number of prior studies have investigated the various dimensions of CSR in general terms, few studies have investigated the critical role that CSR can play in the internationalization process of firms. Design/methodology/approach Using S&P 500 companies during 2004-2014, the authors found that the level of CSR commitment raises the level of reliability of firm and allows further international penetration. Moreover, better regulatory quality of host country is at actual support of internationalization only when considering the short term. Findings Better regulatory quality of host country is at actual support of internationalization only when considering the short term. Originality/value The authors build on internationalization theory and CSR and examine the relationship between firms’ level of internationalization and CSR commitment.

While cynicism amongst health professionals could be the major reason, it is still unknown as to whether there are other factors affecting health professionals’ reluctance to use social media for health communication. OBJECTIVE This research investigates if health professionals perceive any possible barriers that may stand in the way of their social media usage behaviour by testing a new theoretical model drawn from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). METHODS The population for this study comprises Australian health professionals using social media, and working in hospitals, clinics and other clinical facilities. Based on a random sampling technique a cross-sectional survey was administered to 824 health professionals. The database used in this research compris...

The extant literature reveals a gap in terms of linking relationship management theories with international management. Furthermore, little research attention has been paid to synthesise the existing theories in a cohesive manner towards developing a theoretical paradigm in the interface of the importer-supplier relationship dyad. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to strengthen the theoretical grounds of relationship marketing in an international setting in an importer-exporter relationship context.Design/methodology/approach– The paper follows a comprehensive review approach and applies the fundamental theory of trust and commitment to identify the relational factors. More precisely, the paper identifies and applies other relevant theories such as internationalisation process theory, resource-based theory of the firm,...
