The worst video editing app I've ever tried, with new problems every day!!!! Hours and hours of work lost multiple times, and if you don’t renew the paid plan, the next day they delete all the work you've spent months on!!!! And if that wasn't enough, after hours of work, it glitches and deletes content from the timeline, losing all your work. I tried to keep using it, but problems arise every day; I absolutely do not recommend it to anyone!

My video was corrupted and eventually deleted on this platform for unknown reasons. Therefore, I couldn't get it done on time for the deadline. This cost me a substantial amount of time, money and trust from the receiving parties. I sent in an email pleading them to help fix this problem so that I could retrieve or at least salvage parts of the video since I had spent days on this project. This was not followed up by customer support.

Days were spent trying to recover a backup which had also been corrupted and not a trace of my video was found. I sent a request to cancel the subscription and even this was not followed up on, causing me to pay several months further for the subscription.

Their app is faulty, their services have been inadequate and the customer support was essentially non-existent. I would recommend this company and their product to masochists and sadists, considering the amount of torture that I went through with this "onomatopoeia".

If there were negative ratings, I would surely apply them.

Has a ton of control in the timeline. You can add keyframes or choose from Custom Animations. I also like the new "Repurpose Video" button which helps you make short-form videos from long-from webinars, recordings, and interview footage. Overall, this is my go-to tool for making short-form video content.

I use Kapwing for subtitling. It is brilliant. It transcribes audio as accurately as any other program I've used (e.g Otter or Descript). It converts dialogue into subtitles timed to the dialogue with a few clicks. Learning to use the subtitle function took only a few hours. Its performance is supple and sophisticated. Once you get the hang of it, you can easily tweak the timing, as well as the appearance of your subtitles. Added bonus: highly responsive customer service.

I used Kapwing for editing and subtitling quite a number of videos: I took some to get used to it and especially the subtitling proved has improved significantly in the last two years.
Today I used it as a tool to record an audio file for a podcast. Very nice feature: it his an inbuild teleprompter!

I am an experienced content creator, and this app deserves a bit more recognition. Falls on the more intuitive side but still requires a little bit of research. Great AI video assistance but could use more in the stock footage library. Nevertheless, it simplifies processes and allows creators to move quickly.

Powerful, really easy to use, AI-powered video editing software with a host of really useful features. I love it. Much easier to use than some of the 'professional' software. It gets the job done superfast and is an integral part of my video marketing. I hope they keep adding features though as the market evolves.

I enjoy using kapwing a lot. It is easy to use. I really hope the referral/ affiliate program is coming back because I've been promoting this to a lot of my friends and students. :)

Occasionally there are some little bugs here and there, but overall it has been wonderful to use.

What I wish to have (maybe they have it but i haven't discover it yet):
- funky expression. Like, in comic books, there are those "kapow" expression and such. That would be lovely to have. e.g. when I say "I'm sad", at least i could put in the tears flowing from my cheeks.
- also funky sounds linked to those expressions.

That would be perfect. Nonetheless, create professional videos have been fun.

I've been using Kapwing for sometime now to produce videos for social media and I'm loving it so far. I especially like how easy it is to edit videos and integrates memes into the video. Also, the automatic subtitle generator feature in Kapwing is a big one for me as it would be tedious manually entering caption. The fact that I can produce videos for the different social media platfroms using this software made it a no-brainer as well.
I look forward to leveraging the video recorder feature for future projects.
I strongly recommend this to any content creator looking for an affordable and powerful video editor.

Excellent tool! I use it to add subtitles in English to videos that are spoken in Spanish. It's super easy to generate automatic subtitles and then revise and edit the text and the start/end time of each line. It's user friendly and fast.

I was editing a video, first of all its slow it took me like 4 hours to make that video and as soon as i go to export it "video file too big please upgrade to pro"
literally a 6 minute video but ok.

Tried it. Uploaded a short video I wanted to put a 1 line text on it. It does not even do that. All you get is sample text and that's it.

They draw you in with the "free" and basic membership. After spending hours creating content, they refuse to allow you to download your project unless you upgrade to paying over $100 for annual subscription.

I've been with Kapwing for a couple of years now, after doing a full evaluation of video editing tools. It's come a long way even in those 2 years and now has key frames, transcripts and subtitles which I can also automatically translate into more than a dozen languages (very useful for Youtubers). I like the minimal learning curve as I juggle with more than a dozen systems for my work and as a non-graphics person, it helps make my videos look so much better. Transitions are intuitive with great previews and there are lots of effects to make your work more eye catching on social media. I also love being able to repurpose content from Youtube for other platforms and customize subtitles to be branded. The brand palette is fantastic, another recent feature, so I can create a consistent look across platforms. If you are stuck, help is responsive and I have chatted to the team a few times to give feedback. It's a company that actually listens and makes changes based on user feedback. To those who complain about a monthly fee, subtitling tools and other video editors only does a fraction of this tool: it is an all-in-one video editor, video repurposing, and subtitling tool. The Kapwing team are constantly rolling out improvements and new features and that requires people, time and money so, yes, I am happy to pay a monthly fee. Excellent work Kapwing team!
