Rade Rajkovchevski
Rade Rajkovchevski is the Head of the Secretariat of the regional civil protection initative - DPPI SEE. He holds the position of Full Professor specializing in Policing, Emergency, and Disaster Risk Management at the Faculty of Security in Skopje, St. Kliment Ohridski University (N.Macedonia). Commencing his academic journey in 2006, he transitioned from a background encompassing service in the military, civil protection, and private security within Southeast Europe and France.
Having earned his military officer credentials at the Military Academy in Skopje in 2002, Rajkovchevski furthered his academic pursuits. He successfully defended his master's thesis, focusing on national security policy and conflict prevention, in 2010. Subsequently, he completed his doctoral dissertation in 2013, concentrating on European police cooperation.
His extensive expertise extends to roles as a researcher, exercise evaluator, and expert in numerous projects and initiatives involving entities such as the EU (FP7, DG ECHO/UCPM, COST, IPA Intereg CBC), World Bank, Council of Europe, UNDP, UNDRR, UNFPA, GIZ, Red Cross, MARRI Regional Center, DPPI SEE, and other organizations. His contributions span a diverse array of topics, including disaster risk management, humanitarian action, policing, and gender issues.
