This study proposes a new approach for identifying and prioritising customer requirements (CRs) to improve black uniformity as a luminance characteristic on the surface of a display by evaluating the CRs. The refined Kano and stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (SWARA) was applied to rank the 112 CRs identified into main categories: 1) technical; 2) quality; 3) delivery; 4) sustainability; 5) cost to develop the product. To validate the approach an example is performed on automotive display' CRs. The findings showed that mechanical and delivery CRs are critical. Today, climate change is a significant challenge and a severe customer concern. Although sustainability's CRs not classed as essential items in the production process, suppliers must be diligent in providing them. The results help to improve the automotive industry and other production systems.

A survey was carried out among IRCA registered auditors and the statistical analysis of the results support the assumption that ISO 9001:2015 is in line with modern business and quality management concepts and will be a useful tool for the companies. Although the authors acknowledge pursuing further in-depth studies, this is a relevant contribution to the validation of ISO 9001:2015 edition and its value for all type of organizations worldwide.

This article intends to address the organizational maturity concept, evolution shift perspectives and establish the current landscape by performing a bibliometric analysis aiming to detect trends and evidences of convergence. The purpose is the identification of opportunities for further study and to deepen the theoretical-scientific universe of the subject. Throughout a scrutiny of diverse data nucleus (databases), this paper supports the theory that there is increased interest from the academic community (including the occupational health and safety academic community) and entrepreneurial market on organizational maturity models (OMM’s) adoption. The pivotal fields are outlined in order to fulfill scholars, practitioners and managers’ information needs and expectations...

In this sense, maturity models are tools that enable the assessment of the most relevant variables that impact on the outputs of a specific system. Ideally a maturity model should provide information concerning the qualitative and quantitative relationships between variables and how they affect the latent variable, that is, the maturity level. Management systems (MSs) are implemented worldwide and by an increasing number of companies. Integrated management systems (IMSs) consider the implementation of one or several MSs usually coexisting with the quality management subsystem (QMS). It is intended in this chapter to report a model based on two components that enables the assessment of the IMS maturity, considering the key process agents (KPAs) identified through a systematic literature review and the results collected from two surveys.

A research method similar to that described by Cabecinhas et al. [1] was adopted. Data concerning the evolution of the amount of multiple MSs in Portugal (ranging from 1999 to 2016) was retrieved from a periodical Portuguese publication (Barómetro da Certificação). The evolutionary behavior of the number of MSs over the years was studied adopting both the Gompertz and the Simple Logistic models. The results obtained by fitting the data to these models were dissected enabling a forecast for the forthcoming years. In opposition to the results of the original study (based on a higher percentage of extrapolated data) the data seem to be properly fitted by the Simple Logistic model. Similarly to the conclusions of the original study the diffusion throughout the years of the number of MSs presents an S-shaped behavior and the Gompertz model predicts a higher amount of IMSs at the saturation level (which is in line with the original conclusions).
