Laura Gonzalez-Flores
Laura González-Flores received her Ph.D. in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona (1998), holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1990) and a Bachelor in Visual Arts from the National School of Fine Arts, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Since 1994, she is full researcher at the Institute for Aesthetic Research, National Autonomous University of Mexico (IIE - UNAM) and teacher at the Postgraduate Visual Arts and Art History Programs (UNAM). She is a member of the National Research System (CONACYT SNI - 1999), and a funding member of the Fundación Cultural Mariana Yampolsky, A.C. (2002-2017) and the Advisory Board of the National Photographic Archive System. From 2007 to 2011 she headed the project Words and Images of the 21th Century. Photography in Mexico and from 2013 to 2015, the Extraordinary Chair Olivier Debroise, "Images: Apparatus, Production and Critique" (University Museum of Contemporary Art-Embassy of France).Author of Photography is Dead, Long live Photography!
