Existe una carencia de investigación, respecto a la experiencia de amor Millennial, puesto que la... more Existe una carencia de investigación, respecto a la experiencia de amor Millennial, puesto que las investigaciones han explorado otros ámbitos de las relaciones. A partir del estudio “Análisis de la experiencia de amor Millennial” es posible ahondar en la comprensión de las relaciones sentimentales, permitiendo inferir que esta generación vive un vacío existencial bajo el cual intenta desarrollar su experiencia de amor. Esta experiencia lleva a la búsqueda de diversos tipos de relaciones cada vez menos personales para cubrir su miedo y fragilidad como lo describe Bauman (2007). Dentro de esta constatación de hechos, se concluye que los Millennial aún mantienen los componentes de amor que propone Sternberg (1988): compromiso, pasión e intimidad. Añadiendo la vulnerabilidad, que consideran característica del ser humano actualmente negada, y el amor entendido como un valor unitivo y vinculante. Los Millennial mantienen la capacidad de construir relaciones afectivas, sus narrativas señalan experiencia de amar y saberse amados, mostrando conservar la expectativa y en algunos casos conocer los frutos que brinda la experiencia de amor. Construyen sus relaciones identificando factores necesarios para hacerlo: voluntad, madurez, capacidad y equilibrio para amar. Factores que consideran afectados por la sociedad y cultura actual donde no imaginan factible construir el tipo de relaciones que tienen como referente (padres, abuelos, tíos, etc.). Por la ausencia de valores, compromiso, dialogo y encuentro, que experimentan y que identifican en las relaciones de sus pares y en los tipos de relación que la sociedad y cultura promueven: inmediato, instantáneo y efímero. A partir de ello se plantea una psicoeducación inspirada en la antropología cristiana, que tiene como fundamento la presencia de Dios en el ser humano. Esta presencia irradia en todos los ámbitos y permite construir relaciones singulares, comprometidas y duraderas. Con estos presupuestos se pretende reforzar distintos factores que afectan la salud mental Millennial: desilusión, inseguridad, incertidumbre, desprotección, soledad, individualismo, miedos, descontentos y angustia permanente.

This has aroused great interest in studying the connection between this phenomenon and lifestyles, satisfaction, the environment, and the leisure-work relationship. This article analyzes the influence of leisure on the lives of young people. The first part contains a literature review of the main sociological and psychological theories that explain its meaning, evolution, and relationship with work. The second part presents the positive development model, focused on unlocking young people’s potential rather than on preventing risky behaviors. How young people spend time out of school is important for their character development. In this a... more How young people spend time out of school is important for their character development. In this article we explore the relationships between adolescents’ leisure time and other aspects of their lives, with a particular focus on religion. Using a data set generated by secondary school students in Peru and El Salvador (n = 6085) for a public health project, YOURLIFE, we conducted multiple logistic regression analyses of the relationships between religious identification, salience and practice; five indicators of adolescent risk behaviors; and, four indicators of prosocial attitudes and behaviors. In addition to not participating in risk behaviors such as sex, smoking, drinking alcohol and taking illicit drugs, these analyses show significant relationships between religion and prosocial activities and attitudes. These data are considered in the context of the wider debate over the role of religion in adolescent character development in Latin America and elsewhere.

Waiving parent permission can be an option in some epidemiological and social research with adolescents. However, exemptions have not been uniformly considered or applied. Our aim is to critically assess the different factors that could be taken into account when making decisions about waiving active parental permission in observational research with adolescents.
Discussion
In some cases alternatives to parental permission could be applied to protect the rights of both adolescents and parents and also to assure the benefits to adolescents as a group that can come from appropriately conducted studies. However, the criteria of ensuring minimal risk can be difficult to define and apply and a distinction between harm and discomfort is reviewed. Waiving active parental permission could be acceptable when the risk of harm is minimal; when the research questions are related to an activity for which adolescents are not legally considered to be children; when the risk of harm or discomfort may increase if parental permission is required; and when risk of discomfort is low because the questionnaire is not potentially offensive for some adolescents and/or for some parents.
