ones with ditch. The examination of the ceramic proved out a three-phase occupancy, that dated from the first half to the end of the 2nd century. Three tombs with possibly related individuals were inside the enclosure. Four pyre debris pits near the tombs are due to elaborated grave ceremonies. The first two burials still show traditional local as well as italic-roman funeral rituals. Only in the final phase an acculturation of italic-roman burial customs is clearly recognizable. Furthermore the shape of the vessels in the tombs and pyre debris pits emphasize the importance of drinking and food during the funeral ritual. The selection and quality of the goods and the grave architecture suggest a certain level of prosperity of high status individuals, who were buried here and presumably came from a villa rustica in the surrounding area.
