It considers art museums from the perspectives of their social disposition, pedagogical practices, and the education they offer. The book embraces modern perspectives as a part of the international process where museums’ activities are transforming from the established traditional approach to more innovative methods, such as the digital environment, websites development, and social activities, among others. The volume is divided into three parts wherein museums are considered as agents of different spheres in society, pedagogy, and education. The transformation that modern museums have to accept is rooted in new challenges that society offers, and the book offers various examples that could be inspirational for developing new strategies for museums. It also features interviews with museum educators throughout the world in which they share their experience and vision on the questions presented here.

The book itself goes through three major issues when talking about music and society: the field bound research on the use of music in tradition, the cultural debate and political implications in all music expressions, the question of didactic of music in relation with social changes. It is a multidisciplinary book and thus it is a step towards a deeper sociological awareness on the different levels of implications music has with and in society itself.

What kind of essential relations exist between different expressive forms and patterns of thought? How can we understand the principles determining the ways in which their dynamics take effectin the practice of scientists and engineers, and at their interfaces with politics, economy, culture and the public? Which options do we have to make good use of our insights? Despite of the diversity of topics-treated with either more interest in theoretical ref lections, programmatic considerations or practice-oriented descriptions-all contributions to this volume share a common interest: to raise our awareness and understanding of the generative capacities of these processes. Exploring this prolific interplay is of utmost importance for expanding our ability to identify emerging opportunities, to create future perspectives, and to assess the societal consequences of scientific and technological developments. This expansion is indispensable if we really want to be clear about our preferences whilst shaping the ongoing stream of inventions and innovations according to our values. ISSN 2612-6125

In Russia, historical reenactment as a hobby activity is widely spread in the country. It exists in the form of various social institutions and groups. It could be a social club that involves the local people of a city or a village. It could be a large association that combines smaller branches under one head committee, as on the official website Rosrecon (https://xn--e1akjbcibh.xn--p1ai/). Recently, since the start of the pandemic, virtual groups have become popular and have connected people from different locations, often far from each other (http:// livinghistory.ru/forum/52-katalog-klubov/). These groups and clubs have the traditional international structure of vocational organizations when people
with the same interests gather to reenact events from the past. The associa- tions conventionally involve groups of adults, and children actively participate
with their older relatives. School students and youth are usually involved in
reenactment. This chapter discusses several points about historical reenact- ment in Russian education as developed in the last decades. The first is the
nature and definition of historical reenactment in modern Russian education. The second is the current state of the method in schools, its structure, and the teacher’s role in the process of applying school content to the interactive engagement. The third is a case study of a historic reenactment which took place in a middle school, with a description of the stages of preparation and execution, with illustrations, and a description of the aftermath of the lesson for the students who participated in it.

Abstract Globalization in the twenty-first century has contributed to immense changes in world society. Countries across the world are facing many similar issues, and one which is growing and will continue to do so is how diverse cultures with different identities rooted in different histories can live together and find a way to integrate their habits in order not only to tolerate one another but find a universal way to live together with different points of view but the same or similar aims. The intention of this paper is to reflect on a number of insights gained from empirical research on multicultural cohabitation, in particular, by observing the dynamics of relation and power in regions of minorities with three different official languages: Italian, German, and Ladin, in other words, the South Tyrol region, in the far north of Italy, which is frequently seen as a model of integration between different cultures. These three languages entail three different cultures and mentalities. This paper will deal with different issues emerging from multiculturalism and in due course present some insights for solutions to the typical problems of this contemporary cultural phenomenon.

To which extent do the markets in uence art production and creativity in art? Is it true that art is nowadays merely the result of a managed cultural project? Can the artist really become a “worker” inside the capitalist cultural machine, or is there still a di erence between artistic creation and the industrial–capitalist creation of art? In answering these questions, this chapter is divided into two parts. e rst part examines a shift from the so-called direct commission to the modern and contemporary art mar- kets, and explores how art and the concept of art transformed along this shift. In the second part, some examples will be discussed in order to give an idea of di erent kinds of artistic production and to present a tentative typology of artistic production.

The void created between the everyday social dimension and the loss of the effectiveness of political action in favor of purely economic varieties of logic in contemporary society, which are in profound, continuous and rapid change, can – and history is full of examples of this – find an outlet in forms of action which exacerbate the canons of the very form of social action in an ideal process of shortening distances. This reduced distance is revealed in the short-circuit between the dialectical democratic dimension and the need for radical and immediate solutions which can transform action into its negative : a violation, or an action that transforms impotence and the frustrated need for the expression of rights, therefore also of a denied visibility, in a violent action which, in turn, tends to a denial of whatever is excluding it. In this sense, the value structure acts as a mediation network capable of providing individuals with the tools necessary to transform violence as a destructive action into alternative actions, while tending to add in even those situations of a transparent social injustice or disadvantage to the detriment of the few. Under what conditions, then, can the values, customs and religious affiliations of a civilization be the object of attack and violence by radical mirror forces which define themselves in exclusion from it ? This essay will try to develop a critical view towards sociological knowledge recurring to some modern sociologist of the American and European tradition.
