GUIDO VANNINI, Ordinario di Archeologia Medievale, direttore della Scuola di Specializzazione in Archeologia presso l'Università di Firenze e membro del Consiglio della Scuola di Dottorato dell'Un. 'Sapienza' di Roma, è autore di oltre 250 pubblicazioni scientifiche sui caratteri dell'insediamento urbano, aspetti dell'incastellamento e del popolamento in aree feudali mediterranee, problemi di archeologia della produzione e di metodo ('archeologia leggera'); più recentemente anche di public archaeology. E’ membro del Comitato scientifico di 9 collane di studi (di cui cinque dirette o condirette) e 13 riviste del settore; ha diretto una sessantina di progetti archeologici (fra cui il 'Progetto Strategico d'Ateneo' La società feudale mediterranea. Guido Vannini, Full Professor of Medieval Archaeology and Head of the School of Specialization in Archaeology at the University of Florence and member of Council of School of PhD at the University ‘La Sapienza’ of Rome, is author of about 250 scientific publications on the character of urban development, aspects of the incastellamento and settlement on Mediterranean feudal areas, problems of production’s archaeology, Landscape archaeology ('Light Archaeology') and, more recently, Public Archaeology. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of 9 magazines (which five as co-director) and of 13 series of studies; he has directed sixty archaeological projects (including the 'Progetto Strategico d'Ateneo' La società feudale mediterranea.
