Interpretação criteriosa Baixa sensibilidade especificidade Considerar contexto clinico Variação (idade, sexo raça, temperatura, doenças subjacentes) Leucocitose = aumento do numero de leucócitos, sendo caracterizada por uma resposta da fase aguda de várias doenças, mas também pode estar presente em leucemias. Desvio a esquerda = aumento do numero de células brancas imaturas na corrente sanguínea. Isso ocorre em quadros infecciosos ou de inflamação aguda, onde a necessidade dos leucócitos faz com que a maturação celular não tenha tempo de ser finalizada. As células imaturas aparecem, principalmente, na forma de bastões e metamielócitos. Desvio a direita = aumento do numero de células brancas maduras e segmentados. Causas de neutrofilia: Infecções agudas, locais e gerais = cocos, outras bactérias, fungos, protozoários.
