Ces decouvertes mettent en lumiere certains aspects de la civilisation gallo-romaine, notamment dans le domaine cultuel, des rites funeraires ou de l'artisanat.
Un projet de construction de six immeubles à Domdidier à proximité de la chapelle Notre-Dame-de-C... more Un projet de construction de six immeubles à Domdidier à proximité de la chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Compassion touchait un périmètre archéologique dont l’étendue des vestiges avait été estimée lors de sondages effectuées au printemps 1996. La campagne de fouilles réalisée en automne 2013 a livré un horizon de l’âge du Bronze final, une importante voie romaine menant à Avenches, une vingtaine de sépultures médiévales, une quinzaine de trous de poteaux, deux bâtiments des XVIe-XVIIe siècles et plusieurs murs ainsi qu’un chemin d’époque moderne.
