Anna Kowalcze-Pawlik
Assistant Professor, Department of American Studies and Mass Media, Faculty of International and Political Studies, University of Lodz. Co-curator of the International Shakespeare Festival in Gdansk, Poland, since 2018 I served as Vice-president of the Polish Shakespeare Society; in 2024 I have been elected its President. Since 2023 I have served as a deputy editory of the "Multicultural Shakespeare" journal. I co-operate with the Centre for Advanced Studies in Humanities (Jagiellonian University) and the Centre for Translation Studies (Jagiellonian University). I am also active in the British, American, European and International Shakespeare Associations (BSA, SAA, ESRA, ISA), as well as the Renaissance Society of America (RSA). Translation-wise, I am a member of the International Society for Translation and Intercultural Studies (IATIS) and the Polish Literary Translators' Assciation. In 2022, I was elected Associate Fellow in the British Royal Historical Society.
