Articulating these two categories, the Argentine philosopher elaborates his personal critical theory for the construction of objectivity starting from subjectivity, aiming to give a new meaning to words such as experience, temporality, and historicity within a redefined normativity of philosophical practice. Through an in-depth analysis of the historiographical-philosophical passages within Roig's work, this essay analyses the main problematic elements concerning the reflection on the term sujetividad.

Conceptos fundamentales de la teología de la liberación, which collects and organizes the fundamental principles of liberation theology. To enable the work's release, in place of the articles left unfinished by the Jesuit, some already edited articles will be included, as well as Utopía y profetismo, published the same year of his death. In this article, Ellacuría proposes and describes a new philosophy of history, based on the opposition between the category of 'civilizacíon de la pobreza' and 'civilizacíon de la riqueza'. Philosophy in its liberating function has the task of building a new global order, based on human coexistence, necessary to overcome the crisis of Western civilization. Ellacuría's reflection while proceeding from a precise geographic context (Latin America), and a determined historical context (the civil war in El Salvador in the late 1970s and early 1980s), is capable of offering global and meta-historical horizon of social processes of particular originality, grounded in materialist humanism of Christian matrix, capable of problematizing the dynamics of consumerist society and, at the same time, confronting the limits of a simplistic and uncritical vision of Marxism.

The book represents one of the most important moments of that intellectual climate that in the Iberian environment, anticipated the rise of Cartesianism and modern thought. Many years earlier, Pereira seems to have understood some of the themes that will be at the center of Descartes' reflection. Starting from the distinction between brutos and man, he identified for the first time the need to recognize the relationship between ego and knowledge, the fundamental element to reach the truth. The formulation of subjectivity as a separable, autonomous and eternal mens, finds its first formulation in the history of philosophy with the work of the Spanish doctor.

The complex ontological articulation exposed in the Universalis philosophia, in fact, distances itself from the solutions of Thomas and Gaetano, preferring the real distinction of the Scotists school. This solution is more functional from Campanella point of view about the configuration of the ens according to the three primalities: power, knowledge and will that characterize his metaphysics. In the relationship between the one, generative principle of the ens, and the many, the Dominican identifies in the concept of unalitas, the key to keep together the complexity of the reality. The resulting picture is an innovative synthesis between metaphysics and modern instances, typical of Campanella’s work.

knowledge and will that characterize his metaphysics. In the relationship between the one, generative principle of the ens, and the many, the Dominican identifies in the concept of unalitas, the key to keep together the complexity of the reality. The resulting picture is an innovative synthesis between metaphysics and modern instances, typical of Campanella’s work.
