The conventional exergy analysis requires numerous measurements in seven different turbine operating points at each load, while the intention of MLP (Multilayer Perceptron) neural network-based analysis was to investigate the possibilities for measurements reducing. At the same time, the accuracy and precision of the obtained results should be maintained. In MLP analysis, six separate models are trained. Due to a low number of instances within the data set, a 10-fold cross-validation algorithm is performed. The stated goal is achieved and the best solution suggests that MLP application enables reducing of measurements to only three turbine operating points. In the best solution, MLP model errors falling within the desired error ranges (Mean Relative Error) MRE < 2.0% and (Coefficient of Correlation) R2 > 0.95 for the whole turbine and each of its cylind...

The standard procedure for the diagnosis of oral cancer is based on histopathological examination, however, the main problem in this kind of procedure is tumor heterogeneity where a subjective component of the examination could directly impact patient-specific treatment intervention. For this reason, artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms are widely used as computational aid in the diagnosis for classification and segmentation of tumors, in order to reduce inter- and intra-observer variability. In this research, a two-stage AI-based system for automatic multiclass grading (the first stage) and segmentation of the epithelial and stromal tissue (the second stage) from oral histopathological images is proposed in order to assist the clinician in oral squamous cell ca...

A proposed model for multi-objective design and adaptable reconfiguration is based on the multi-agent principles and Emergent Synthesis concept. Emergent Synthesis is introduced in the adaptable reconfiguration within implementation of the layered based architecture and utilizing the multi-agent concept. Based on the proposed approach a simulation model has been built and evaluated. For the purpose of analysis of this approach it was simulated production in the shop-floor of the manufacturing system with the two different initial configurations. For evaluation of here presented approach the case study was performed using realistic data ; it was simulated production of the cellular phone devices. From obtained results of the simulation it can be conclude that a proposed model has a high level of multi-objective adaptation of the manufacturing system shop-floor.

This paper shows a group of machines in virtual reality, visualization in three dimension (3D) space with SolidWorks software. With accurate simulation and analysis of flexible manufacturing system it is possible to influence and resolve spatial conflicts and other negative behaviours. Necessary times for processing ware calculated and optimised with the use of eM-Plant Siemens Technomatix. Milling and lathe machines are visualised and one robotic arm is used for transfer of workpiece between them. Robot travel path is calculated with IntelliMotion Builder. Final presentation is given in avi and VRML video format. Simulation increased the level of comprehensiveness of the manufacturing system modelling and it has given characterization of structure interconnections.

Needs for the exact present of process are higher with the development of modern and intelligent manufacturing systems. The simulation enables real process to substitute for numerical model so the procedure of analysis and examining could be faster and cheaper than on the manufacturing process. The FEM analysis applying ABAQUS 6.4. code as well as experimental analysis have been used in order to predict the influences of wall thickness and lubrication on process parameters and estimate their influence on reduction process force and energy. The accuracy of the numerical results is confirmed through the comparison with the experimental ones.

A method of digital planning, based on setup planning and work-holding selection in virtual reality with visualization in three dimension (3D) space was used for clamping of two sheet metal parts of a car body part. With accurate simulation and analysis it is possible to influence and resolve spatial conflicts and other negative behaviours neccesary for positioning and securing of complex shapes made from sheet metal plates. Complexety of given product is analyzed and a solution proposed for a workholding station adequate for the selected manufacturing system. Modelling was preformed with Catia software and model of a work-holder station for point welding given.

Based on the proposed approach a simulation model has been built and tested. Two types of simulation analyses have been preformed. The major characteristic of here proposed approach for multi-objective reconfiguration of the manufacturing system is that we can simultaneously influence design and reconfiguration/adaptation of the shop-floor layout and production planning rules.

Also, numerical simulations of the mentioned process are presented to reduce expensive and time-consuming experimental design practice. This study will seek to compare the results of these analytical solutions and finite element analysis solution with experimental results of backward extrusion force on Al Mg Si 1. Modeling, simulation and experiments were performed according to the rotatable design of experiments.
