this study examines the Roman elite residence in Tipasa (Algeria), its main characteristics and the relationship to its environment. it dealt mainly with architecture as it focused on two samples "La villa des fresques" and "La maison de Lotis" trying to trace them in their social, economic and cultural aspects, and the changes occurred over time, through an approach which brings together documentary sources and archaeological data.
