Sharing the mediatic process of writing memory: heritage-making and the intangible paradigm :
This paper looks at the forms and procedures of the shared processes of documenting, writing and mediatizing memory in collaboration between scientific and local communities, in the context of local heritage inventory programs. Drawing on interviews and document analysis, this paper sheds light on the process of collecting local testimonies, constructing knowledge about heritage-in-making and producing documentary media. The paper questions the subsequent epistemological, symbolic and technical shifts here at stake in terms of knowledge circulation within the social group involved.

This paper looks at the use of documentary media in a Regional nature park, in the context of a local cultural heritage inventory program. Drawing on interviews and document analysis, this paper sheds light on the park’s political agenda to portray its territory, generate community participation and safeguard cultural heritage. The creativity policy here at play shows the park’s effort to assign specific positions to the participants and a communications strategy to delegate its own representation to them.
