Research strategy

Université Côte d'Azur, a world-class, research-intensive, multidisciplinary university, was awarded the prestigious ‘Initiatives of Excellence’ certification label, which highlights the quality of its research and ensures that it has a high visibility international profile.

The university's research strategy aims to create synergies between the research teams in order to explore new interdisciplinary areas while maintaining its level of excellence in academic fields. It is part of a coherent and ambitious site policy jointly developed with other players in the research, higher education and the socio-economic world.
This strategy also responds to the competitive challenges of a major university with international ambitions, while being implemented in a collective and collegial spirit and using scientific integrity.

It must also respond to the need to offer the entire scientific community access to open science, and disseminate the scientific culture to the general public and schools.

The research conducted at Université Côte d'Azur aims to address major challenges in science and society. It covers a broad continuum of objectives, approaches and methodologies, from basic theoretical science to targeted research Galvanized by the momentum provided by Idex UCA^JEDI   and the 3IA, the university aims to be active in developing a rich and dynamic regional ecosystem.
Drawing on the expertise of all its staff, Université Côte d'Azur is strengthening the interfaces between research, education and innovation by employing coordinated strategies for its research units, its components - in particular the University Research Institutes (EUR) – and other entities set up within IDEX UCA^JEDI : Academies of Excellence, Innovation and partnership institutes, Flagship programs, the Center of Modeling, Simulation and Interaction (MSI).
The Research Application and Innovation Unit (DRVI), provides contractual and administrative support for Université Côte d'Azur’s research applications and innovation work.
