Alberto Parola
Alberto Parola is Associate Professor of Experimental Pedagogy at the Department of Philosophy and Educational Sciences of the University of Turin, he also teaches Methodology of Educational Research, Methodology of Mediaeducational Research and Technologies of Education and Learning. He is a psychologist. His main scientific interests include educational research, media education, digital education research, the relationship between biological reality and digital worlds, didactic innovation, learning technologies, adult education (in school and business) and minors in the school and sports context.
Since 1995 he has published 15 books, more than 50 contributions in books, more than 40 scientific articles and numerous multimedia products (television formats and distance learning courses) for a total of over 100 research products . He has carried out numerous reports at schools, conventions, meetings and conferences nationally and 12 internationally (including China, Brazil, South Africa, Sweden, Spain and educational and research projects in Haiti and Rwanda).
In recent years, he has published Regia educativa (2012), Tecnologie e linguaggi dell’apprendimento (2015, with L. Denicolai), Scritture mediali (2017, with L. Denicolai), processi e linguaggi dell’apprendimento (2017, with R. Trinchero) and Digital Education (2019, with L. Denicolai).
He was Scientific of MIUR, Educational Director of the ExtracampusTv university television (University of Turin), Creator and coordinator of the European project On Air - European Media Education Project and Vice-President of MED (Italian Association for the education of media and communication). He has carried out scientific consultancy for Rai-Radiotelevisione (Rai Tre) in relation to the monitoring systems of children's TV and was part of the group of experts of the European project Emedus - European Media Literacy Education Study. He played the role of commissioner of international doctorates. He was a member of the board of the Society for Learning and Education informed by Evidence (SAPIE) and was Co-Director of the scientific journal and of the Media education series: studies, research, best practices.
Currently, he is President of CINEDUMEDIA, Interdepartmental Research Center for Cinema, Education and Media of the University of Turin and of the Egò cooperative (Multimedia and DSA). He’s part of the scientific committee of national and international journals. He’s a consultant for the training of trainers in the business environment. He is pursuing an international doctorate in co-tutorship.
