The present study attempts to analyse the theme of woman"s alienation in Margaret Atwood"s novel "surfacing ". In her novel, Margaret sheds light on the alienation that woman and particularly the narrator lives in patriarchal society. The unnamed narrator who is a talented and an artist woman turns back to Canada to search for her father, so she begins to feel like an isolated and alienated person. Because of her father disappearance and her mother detachment the narrator feels like an abandoned child who doesn"t have parents also when we read the book we find that there are a number of factors that contribute to the narrator"s alienation including her memories and bad experiences, losing her child due to abortion and lacking trust in her closet friends. In fact, being alienated has a negative impact on the narrator"s personality because it will lead her to move away from society, to become introvert and more than that it will lead her to madness acting like an animal living in the forest. In surfacing, the unnamed narrator understands the patriarchal factors behind her alienation and, therefore, she decides to resist them.

Although many efforts have been done to eradicate violence against women, and many positive improvement in policies, practices, and activities to support and protect women
all over the world, violence against women in all its various forms is still spreading and posing a threat and danger to women and girls in all countries. All over the world, women victims of
violence, particularly Moroccan illiterate women and low-income women, have little access to justice and they experience oppressive and marginalized treatment from the Moroccan state.
However, the general goal of this ethnographic study is to generate a basic understanding and knowledge that can be used as an essential means to improve current policies, practices, and
legislation in force in Morocco regarding the protection and promotion of gender equality and women’s rights. This ethnographic study narrates the story of eleven women victims of
different types of violence including physical, domestic, sexual, and psychological violence, to display the urgent need for the Moroccan state to implement responsive facilities and services
for those women who lack knowledge and money, to provide effective and appropriate specific training to the state agents for
the victims of sexual assault based on Moroccan law and legislation that protect women’s rights instead of acting on personal attitudes and opinions, last but not least to strengthen
the monitoring of a framework to record and observe the implementation of the measures and reforms taken by the Moroccan state to combat violence against women.

The current study aims to investigate the challenges and the barriers that encounter visually impaired students in the educational environment, particularly in Moroccan universities. To find out these challenges and barriers, semi-structured interviews will be conducted with 15 visually impaired students from the majority of Moroccan universities through interviews to explain the challenges that these students experience in their studies mainly during the exam. Equally important, this research will examine the impacts of these challenges on the academic performance of this kind of population with disabilities in Morocco. The study found out that students with visual impairment experience four main challenges in Moroccan Universities including administrative, academic, environmental, and social difficulties. On the basis of these findings, a set of recommendations to Moroccan policymakers was made to respond properly to the needs of persons with disabilities, and to deal with these challenges that visually impaired students face when learning and taking exams in higher education regularly. Indeed, this research will play a crucial role in raising the awareness of Moroccan universities about the meaning of inclusive education and the importance of creating an inclusive and diverse environment where visually impaired students can lean equally as their non-visually impaired peers.

The argument of this paper focuses on the vital role of cultural theory in understanding and exploring the complexity of the elements that cultural dialogue underlies. Through the theoretical insights of the German philosopher Jurgen Habermas, this paper aims to exploit a lifelong intellectual work in dissecting some aspects and formulating some of the controlling principles that can potentially give rise to cultural dialogue. Proceeding from theoretical preliminaries on cultural dialogue and Habermas's communicative rationality as a salient philosophical contribution to cultural theory, the following paper studies Babel as a cinematic case to put to test Habermas's conception of dialogue. By the conclusion, ample room is left to critically reflect on the strengths and limitations of communicative rationality and to assess its scope of enhancing cultural dialogue

This short paper investigates the role of noise in Don DeLillo's Cosmopolis (2003). In this context, "noise" does not refer solely to disturbing indistinct sounds, it also refers to uncontrollable ontological possibilities directing one's actions. Noise becomes at times an imposition expressing multiplicity even when there are attempts to muffle it. This assertion is explored by Michel Serres in Genèse (1982). The French philosopher suggests that because multiplicity characterizes the postmodern world, it is difficult to adhere to an isolated interpretation of one’s context. He offers the analogy of noise as the background of this thought. DeLillo explores the consequences of one’s unwillingness to acknowledge the multiplicity of noise through the protagonist of Cosmopolis, Eric Packer. It is argued that Eric’s slow response to the multiplicity of the world without leads him to experience existential discomfort. Passive reception and apathetic observation of this discomfort provokes his destruction. Based on this, the paper aims to answer two main questions. How does the ontological representation of noise structure Eric Packer's path? And to what extent does the multiplicity of noise shape his path?
